NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in near mint (new) condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The sleeve and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The sleeve and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the sleeve or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

This was carried out using an Audio Technica Mono cartridge on a quality turntable and hifi.
All tracks play vibrantly with only the hint of occasional crackle or "pops". There are NO scratches and NO repetitive clicks.
All tracks are loud and clear. Very exciting AUDIOPHILE sound!!
The side starts and inter-tracks exhibit some crackle and the occasional "pop" or click. Side 2 tracks exhibit slightly more groove wear, but ABSOLUTELY nothing serious.
This 1965 record sounds great (Yes, 55 years old!!). You may look for a long time to get such a GREAT 1st generation pressing.
What surprised me most was the inner instrument details that have been washed away on all the CD transfers we have heard.
Finally a brief check using an Ortofon 2M black (stereo cartridge) yielded similar results.
