Parisians/unissued white doowop group harmony acetate Detroit/VG-

This item is a 7" 45rpm metal based acetate by The Parisians: Patricia b/w You Didn't Care. Two beautiful almost accapella sides with stunning harmony!!!! This was a polished and well rehearsed group. There is minimal guitar on Patricia, with percussion backing on the flip. The labels are marked Northwest Sound and Music by the Royalnotes. There was a Detroit area label called Northwest, which had a small output. Maybe this acetate was intended for release on that label. One of these songs was identified by a white group collector as recorded by the Detroit group the Reflections in the early 80s, with the same arrangement as on this acetate, but a much later version than this acetate. This was done in the late 50s or very early 60s. The Reflections evolved from the well known Detroit group the Larados, so maybe there was some connection between the Parisians and Larados. The photos of the labels are self explanatory. The acetate on both sides has a lot of fine scuffs and scratches. There are no cracks in the acetate surface, nor digs or gouges. You can see clearly in the photos the chipping around the edges of the acetate, but none of these are into the grooves. There is a small warp in the metal that requires extra tone arm weight to play without warbling. The soundclip was recorded at 9 grams tone arm weight. Had this for years but time to pass it on to someone who will enjoy it and hopefully put it out on a comp.  Grade VG-.
