Description
Paul Paray & The Detroit - OUVERTURES FRANCAISES - Original Mercury SR90190 (FR/color back) - Factory Sealed
In every music lover/audiophile life, there comes a time when impossible dreams do come true.
You behold an original Living Stereo, or a Mercury Living Presence, and the air simply leaves the room.
"It's factory sealed," you whisper, as if to the Gods, and, for just a few scant seconds, time stands still.
Yes, one of the finest, mass produced records, ever, still in shrink, this, a recording done in 1958 by Wilma Cozart. During Paray's fine tenure with the Detroit, it features Berlioz LE CARNAVAL ROMAIN and LE CORSAIRE, Lalo LE ROI D'YS, Bizet PATRIE, and awaits coming to life on your turntable.
Made at a time in stereo vinyl production when, yes, they didn't master the tape...they simply mastered it at the cutting head.
A stone-cold mint FR, I'd bet on it. To be treasured, surely.
