This listing is for Pantera's "I Am the Night" original 12" vinyl on Metal Magic Records from 1985.  The vinyl will ship with the outer sleeve, a plastic outer sleeve, the inner sleeve and the fan club insert.

The musical talent of Vinnie, Darrell, Rex and Terrance can be heard clearly on these 10 studio recordings.  The band had its musical chops at this stage, but were playing in the style of bands like KISS and Van Halen.  The band's musicality is still there, just in that mid-80's style.

The band did not yet have the maturity that they achieved with their 1988 release Power Metal, replacing Terrence with Phil Anselmo.  These ten studio recordings were made when Vinni and Darrell were barely out of high school. 

This original vinyl issue has been out-of-print well before Pantera's success in the 1990's following Cowboys from Hell (1990). 

Notes on Condition:  

I'm willing to give the vinyl itself a provisional grade of  **excellent or fine** after recently testing both sides.  This vinyl has been stored well with no scratches or other visible wear.  A little bit of light wear is visible when viewing this vinyl from certain angles.  Both sides of the vinyl are pictured above.  More images can be provided.  The labels on both sides of the vinyl are pictured completely for buyer inspection. 

The vinyl, its outer sleeve, inner sleeve, and fan club insert have been kept in a plastic sleeve for the duration of the current ownership. 

The two sleeves and fan club insert have some scuffing, creases, and a typical wear pattern around the edges of the outer sleeve.  This wear is pictured for buyer inspection in the complete images above. 

The inner sleeve allows the vinyl to be inserted on two sides instead of one.  The inner sleeve would be prone to collecting more wear without this modification.  In brand new condition, the inner sleeve would only have one side for inserting the vinyl.   

This vinyl is obviously out of its shrink wrap and has been listened to by previous owners.

The item will be protected by being sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard.
