Description

RCA Living Stereo LSC-6052 - original 1957 3 disc Shaded Dog copy - Puccini's Tosca conducted by Erich Leinsdorf with Jussi Bjoerling, Zinka Milanov, and Leonard Warren. Sides 1-5 are Tosca, the sixth is a selection of various arias by Puccini, Verdi, and Ponchielli. All three discs are a beautiful NM, with occasional tiny wisps of sleeve scuffing, but barely. They play almost perfectly with only very occasional isolated light pops, only a few. Really an incredible listen, with all the glory of Living Stereo and Miracle Surface technology. This is easily the best sounding recording ever made of this stuff. Unbelievable.

The box has a touch of minor shelfwear and edgewear, and was used as a writing surface by some previous owner, putting some slight writing impressions on the front, but it isn't noticeable unless you hold it under light. Overall nicely intact and beautiful.

Comes with the booklet/libretto and a second insert with information about the 6th side. Also original plastic-lined inners.
