   This is a SCARCE VINTAGE COPY of Public Image Ltd's second LP, the triple vinyl "Metal Box" (not the 4 lp reissue), and due to the expense of this version, it was soon after release retitled "Second Edition". Following the demise of John Lydon's band, the incredible "Sex Pistols", where he was known as, of course, Johnny Rotten, Lydon formed PiL with musicians Jah Wobble and Keith Levine (founding Clash member who left the band before they began recording (!)). They released this, their 2nd album, in 1979, and this is the very sought after copy that was released in a 16mm film can with 3 LPs inside! Each LP has a round white insert separating each of the three, and this also includes the original informational insert. The can itself has NO RUST, which is very rare considering it is almost 40 years old, NO dents or dings, and it DOES have the original sticker on the back that says "Metal 1", along with some sticker residue from its original release. This canister is in fantastic shape, with just a couple of very light marks. The LPs themselves are in Excellent shape as well, clean colorful and shiny. Their is just the slightest bit of haze in a couple of spots that comes from the sleeves themselves. While I have cleaned them well with our DiscWasher and an enzyme cleaner, their is a hint visible here or there. But, these are in great shape. There is one light mark, NOT a scratch, that doesn't seem to affect play, and I have done my best to show it in one of the photographs.  While these are in great shape, they are almost four decades old and you may hear a noise occasionally, but look at our feedback, our previous (amazing! thanks for the props) buyers have left nice comments to help you see that you can trust our descriptions, and our packaging. The LPs will be shipped in separate regular white sleeves, with a cardboard insert separating the vinyl from the metal tin. We continue to aim to be the best sellers on eBay. We do ask that yu look at all photos before bidding or buying anything on our sight, and we appreciate the time you've taken looking at this fabulous piece of musical history. We clean all vinyl with an enzyme spray then finish with a SpinClean Machine. With SEALED VINYL, please understand that we will only accept returns if the LP is still sealed. If you are concerned about the condition, warped or broken or whatever, we can open it for you before mailing it, and if anything is wrong, we'll notify you and you can decide how to proceed. In the case of a warp etc, we will refund you completely, but only if we open it and see the issue before it mails. This is for our financial protection as well as yours.
