Description

This an EX / EX copy of this UK VINYL LP by THE PEOPLE BAND - released on TRANSATLANTIC Records in 1970 - TRA214. It was actually recorded in October 1968 and produced by The ROLLING STONE'S MR.CHARLIE WATTS (and a great job he does to!). Recorded in fact by a collection of some of the great young players making a name for themselves in UK Jazz /Rock fusion at the time. MEL DAVIS (3rd EAR BAND), LYN DOBSON (TIPPETT & SOFT MACHINE), GEORGE KAHN (BATTERED ORNAMENTS) and many other great players are involved in this one session that produced as the labels say " SEVEN EXTRACTS FROM A CONTINUOUS PERFORMANCE BY THE PEOPLE BAND". Side One has Parts 1 & 2. Side Two has, interstingly Parts 3,4,5 & 6. What happened to Part 7?! Both sleeve and disc are in great condition, with only one small crease in the top l/h corner of the sleeve and a little noise at the beginning of Side 1 making this one not MINT! RARE and very FREEFORM JAZZ from some great players.
