Please see the scans. I like to show close-up view shots in high resolution of the front and back cover, not at a distance like many other sellers do. There is nothing to hide, here. The LP grading is also guaranteed.
Condition: Gorgeous VG(+) w/the following flaws: Stereo catalog number written in red fine marker at top left-hand part of back cover, 1 small humidity spot on back cover, slight creasing at bottom left-hand corner of back cover, small and light creasing on the flipbacks, glue residue wear strips on all 3 flipbacks, minor corner wear, mild front cover wear, 2 faint creases near bottom of front cover, a few small, extremely faint light creases near spine from factory foldover, nice, fully legible spine, slight arc-shaped impression mark on left-hand side singer's head (noticeable when you tilt the LP cover at an angle against the light). Cover manufactured by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents Pending first-press cover. This copy was obtained from a UK radio station.
Record: EX w/only some light paper sleeve scuffing. NO NEEDLE SCRATCHES. Label has some spindle marks and it looks like this record has received only scant play at best.
Playback: Sounds fantastic on my high-end Linn system. I've played this LP 3 times with a top-of-the-line Linn tonearm and cartridge set-up at 1.5 grams. I heard no groove distortion. A thoroughly enjoyable LP.
This LP is now receiving some heavy-duty attention and the music is great pop. The band get a bit psychedelic with the beautiful, dreamy "Far Away Mountain". A stellar performance of "So You Want to Be a Rock & Roll Star" is also noteworthy. It's a nice, heavy version. Other great tracks on this LP include the title track, Peacock Dress, Five White Horses (released as a single), Love Minus Zero, Blueberry Blue and Look at the Sun. I've heard this LP compared a lot to the Creation. I can't hear the connection at all. Sorry. It's pure pop, plain & simple. Great LP !!!!
