This is 3-track 12” EP by U.S act PROWLER, released on the PRIVATE LABEL; Tursha 9218. THIS IS THE RARE, 1st PRESS OF THIS RELEASE, NOT THE RE-ISSUE / 2nd PRESS from '88 on New Renaissance Records with 5 tracks.
Tracklisting: Thrash And Bang / Sudden Death / Back On The Rack // PROWLER play METAL / THRASH / SPEED in the typical U.S. Styles. Think a mix of EXCITER, MOTORHEAD and AT WAR. B-side track “Sudden Death” links the sound of the 1st ANTHRAX album with EXCITER's 1st LP. Last track has more of a Thrash feel, again with the ANTHRAX sound up there, mixed with heavier, gruff vocals. NASTY SAVAGE style guitars and solos on this one. Gripping riffs, hoarse vocals and energetic themes make this one. LARGELY OVERLOOKED this band. They were up there with the best but just moved under the radar of recognition. A TOP 10 METAL MONSTER AND ONE VERY RARE PIECE that goes on specialist mailorders for well over $100, even in a tattered condition. This is your chance to pick up a copy for less.
Condition of the item:
Sleeve: Good; light ringwear back and front, some light creases on top left corner and hairlines. Yellowing of the white all round, mostly on right hand side. Some light wear on insert edge.
Record (optical grading): Good / O.K; some hairline scratches across A-side, surprisingly most on the non-music ending grooves. B-side is considerable smoother with one little mark and some very light hairline marks (again, mostly on ending grooves)
Plays: Good / Very Good, NO SCRATCHES OR SKIPS; 2 little pops on track #01, and 3 very small pops on track #03; some surface noise and crackles throughout disc and ending grooves.

GRADING AND PACKAGING:
I grade all records visibly and by listening to it. I try to provide as much detail as possible about the condition of the item; both sleeve and vinyl. As I have listened to each and every item I sell, I mention if there is any ticks from the moment the music sets in. Most records in general have a few little ticks in the beginning and ending grooves. I include a clear, poly plastic sleeve with all records, and all items are mailed in a cruciform, hard cardboard box with an extra stiffener for extra protection.
