This is the superb Shine On Brightly album from 1968 and was Procol Harums second album. As with their debut album this one failed to sell and is consequently seldom seen today. Now rightly regarded as one of the psychedelic gems of the 1960`s!

Record

The heavyweight record is in beautiful condition, bright and glossy with no unwanted marks and is graded Excellent Plus. Under a bright light there are just a few hairlines present, absolutely no scuffs or scratches.

Labels

The distinctive red Regal Zonophone labels are unmarked with three to four light spindle lines not over the label text. There is no wear to the spindle hole itself. The labels are graded Excellent Plus.

Front Cover – The cover is graded Excellent Minus

The laminated front cover has a few general age related marks, but nothing remotely heavy. There are a few small laminate wrinkles and a crease to the top right corner. There is no writing, or old price sticker marks. There is a dink and some rubbing to the bottom left corner.

Back Cover

The back cover is unlaminated and shows a few small age related marks. There are a few laminate wrinkle marks on the bottom flipback edge and a very slight record impression visible. As with the front cover there is no writing or old sticker marks.

Spine Edge

The spine is straight with just one or two laminate wrinkle lines but no splits or tears. All of the spine text is legible.

Record Entry Edge

The record entry edge is straight with just very slight softening of the card where the laminate has failed to reach (very minor).

Top and Bottom Edges

Both of these edges are straight with no splits or rubbing.

Corners

The corners show tiny rub wear. The bottom left corner has a dink and has slightly more wear.

Sound Quality

The sound quality is superb throughout. No crackle, hiss or distortion to interfere with the

music.

Overall

A really respectable copy of this seldom seen record. The vinyl itself is beautiful, and although the cover does not quite reach the same grade it still comes highly recommended.
