Description
Up for auction is a copy of the debut (self-titled) LP by Procol Harum, released in 1968 on Regal Zonophone, cat no LRZ 1001. This is a genuine first UK pressing, with flip-back cover, and -2 matrix numbers (I don’t think a -1 cut ever reached the market). 1-M stampers on both sides, a very early pressing.
Condition: a few surface marks on side one; some look quite ugly but none seriously affect play (no jumps/sticks, but expect occasional clicks & pops). Side two is relatively problem-free, as are the labels. The cover is generally fine too, but one corner has traces of being “touched-up”, though it’s quite well done. VG side 2, VG- side 1, VG cover. (Note: A Whiter Shade Of Pale does not appear on this LP, but was included on the US pressing of the album.)
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
