Description
on the coronet recording company label, stereo pressing, not sure when this one is from, probably late 60's early 70's. 34 tracks in all. really strange one here, i've never seen it before. band is made up of inmates in the indiana state prison in michigan city, indiana....they call themselves "the super-stars". music is composed and arranged by ernest howard (who is also bandleader and trombone player). music runs the gamot, from free jazz, afro-jazz, soul, funk and straight jazz.....tough one to pin down....all based on the life of john the baptist. sorry for the bad photo of the front cover, my camera (and photographer) has trouble with dark covers. two pocket cover is VG+, with some seam and rub wear, and some light browning on back cover as well. vinyl is strong VG+, with just a couple very light paper scuffs. vinyl has been cleaned on a VPI. check out my other auctions for a great batch of rare records (and a few rare compact discs as well), many genres represented. all records are original pressings unless noted. all records are shipped in dedicated record mailers, with cardboard inserts. email with any questions. i accept paypal and money orders only. buyer pays shipping. $6.00 priority mail within the US. $6.00 airmail to canada. $11.00 airmail to europe. $14.00 airmail to japan and australia. please note that i will not ship surface overseas. thanks for looking and good luck.
