MARCUS BELGRAVE: "GEMINI II" LP - On the TRIBE label, PRSD-2228 (stereo). This is the original U.S. private pressing of Marcus Belgrave's extremely rare 1974 underground spiritual free jazz funk LP - NOT A MODERN REISSUE. The personnel: Marcus Belgrave (trumpet, flugelhorn, misc. percussion), Wendell Harrison (tenor saxophone, misc. percussion), Phillip Ranelin (trombone, misc. percussion), Roy Brooks (drums, musical saw), Billy Turner (drums, misc. percussion), Lorenzo Brown (bongos), Ed Pickens (electric bass), Harold McKinney (electric piano), Daryl Dybka (Mini Moog synthesizer). The vinyl is in NM condition, very glossy & beautiful!! The cardboard cover is in superb shape - bright & clean, still protected by the cellophane shrink wrap, displays wonderfully!! No seam splits, no cut-out marks, no writing, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. The songs are: Space Oddessy; Glue Fingers Part I; Glue Fingers Part II; Glue Fingers Part III; Marcia's Opal; Odom's Cave.
