Description
OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. VERY RARE ... only 4 - 5 copies have been offered on eBay through the years, selling for up to $180+ ...and as noted by the FAN MAN who exclaims "this is a fantastic frat/garage rock LP out of Madison, Wisconsin."
ORIGINAL 1965 local Wisconsin LP on the private "Leaf" Records label. Vastly unknown even to many garage-rock collectors, "P J Murphy" were comprised of 4 guys and a female, all guitar based, and deliver a solid album highly recommended for those fans who collect the charming primitive side of the garage sixties scene, ala "Justice Records" label, etc.
P.J. Murphy deliver a sparse sound, straight from the band themselves with very little overdubs or additives, and the cover is a bit misleading when the rhythm and lead guitars are electric - not acoustic - as depicted on front cover. The band was led by Kathy McBroom who has a good voice, well executed within the raw sound of the sixties flourishing through both sides. The backing group has a surf/garage sound, reverb/tremelo guitars songs structure of what can also be termed as an inspired garage/frat-rock style.

CONDITION: The cover is rated: the THICK cardboard cover is very collectible VG++ having only a 'touch' of wear started, really well handled over the past5 50+ years! No solit seams, no bends, no writing and no delete marks.
The vinyl is rated M- fantastic shape for a mid 60's garage LP - usually these teen scene records are trashed by now - here's a tremendous survivor - looks very little played, so expect the play grade minty clean with no audio problems. Both custom Leaf labels are clean
