I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A NICE COLLECTION OF UNIQUE DECCA TEST PRESSING AND ACETATE. THIS COLLECTION CAME FROM A PERSON WHO USED TO WORK IN THE DECCA STUDIOS FROM THE LATE 1960'S TO THE MID 1970'S. THERE ARE UNIQUE TEST PRESSING OF SOME PROG ROCK, FOLK, POP, SOUL ETC.. (THE MOODY BLUES, THIN LIZZY, CAMEL, TOM JONES, THEM ETC...) SO PLEASE KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS FOR THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE TO GET THESE UNIQUE TEST PRESSINGS AND ACETATES.
This is a RARE AND UNIQUE UK DECCA / DERAM TEST PRESSING PROG / PSYCH ALBUM by PRINCIPAL EDWARDS entitled "ROUND ONE" from 1974, ORIGINAL UK DECCA TEST PRESSING WITH NEAR MINT VINYL AND A MUST !!! The album has the earliest possible matrices: P-1/ P-1 - 1G/1G !!!
The album also comes with the ORIGINAL DIE CUT SLEEVE with hand written info on it !!! DERAM was a DECCA subsidary, hence this is a DECCA TEST PRESSING of the DERAM album !! ALL THE TEST PRESSINGS / ACETATES I AM LISTING CAME FROM A PERSON WHO WORKED IN THE DECCA STUDIOS BETWEEM THE LATE 1960'S AND MID 1970'S AND ARE 100% ORIGINAL UK TEST PRESSINGS / ACETATES !!!
The album was pressed in 1974 on DERAM / DECCA RECORDS, catalogue number SML 1108. The matrix numbers are ALL MACHINE STAMED and are: SIDE 1: ZAL-12804.P-1 and 1 and G on the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions (all machine stamped), SIDE 2 : ZAL-12805.P-1 and 1 and G on the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions (all machine stamped). This TEST PRESSING looks UNPLAYED (NO SPINDLE MARKS) SIDE 1 is graded as MINT-/EX+++, SIDE 2 has a deep mark on track 1 (probably from pressing plant) that will effect play, all other tracks are MINT-, but because of that defect I will only grade SIDE 2 as VG/VG-. PLEASE CHECK MY OTHER DECCA TEST PRESSINGS THIS WEEK !!!
DON'T LET THIS UNIQUE UK DECCA TEST PRESSING ALBUM get away as you will NEVER see another one.
