Prince Buster's celebratory Prince Buster On Tour lands this Record Store Day again as a reminder of how explosive proper ska music felt in real time. Recorded during the Jamaican singer-songwriter and producer's 1967 UK tour, it captures a sound still emerging, evolving and taking shape and not yet fully canonised. Tracks like 'Al Capone,' 'Madness' and '007 (Shanty Town)' don't sit politely in the drums, they lurch, swing and command attention. A great historical document but also a fine trove of still-dangerous dancefloor weapons that need to be nice and loud.
