BEATLES 2 GREEN STAR LINE 45s: 6065 ROLL OVER BEETHOVEN / MISERY AND 6066 KANSAS CITY / BOYS with ORIGINAL STARLINE SLEEVES!
October 11, 1965 was a “Green Letter Day” for The Beatles. On that day, Capitol Records released six 45s under their Star Line label (sometimes spelled as one word, so I did it both ways in the headline to help in your search).
Today, these green swirl discs are among the most valuable in the group’s historic catalog.

Here’s a terrific opportunity to score TWO Starlines, each in exceptional condition!
This copy of Roll Over Beethoven / Misery has RARELY, IF EVER, BEEN PLAYED! The reason: during the British Invasion, it was given out as a prize from a radio station and autographed by one of its air personalities! Apparently, the contest winner just put it away. How’s that for RARE!
I played it once for this auction. It’s wonderful!
And as you see, not a mark on it except for the autograph. The label is the West Coast thick print variation. Unfortunately, I have no more information about the radio station or the DJ.
UNTIL NOW, THE RECORD HAS BEEN UNTOUCHED IN MY COLLECTION—IN A SMOKE-FREE HOME—SINCE 2008.
Kansas City / Boys features the RARER AND MORE VALUABLE EAST COAST THIN PRINT from the Scranton PA plant. Even the perimeter print is incredibly clear. There is just the most minor of wear.
And it sounds great!
