Up for bids is a great, rare, self-titled mono Jazz LP by The Prestige Jazz Quartet. Prestige Records. PRLP 7108. 1957.RARE ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING!
DEEP GROOVE PRESSING!
YELLOW LABELS WITH "446 W. 50th ST., N.Y.C." ADDRESS ON BOTH!
Both sides' Trail-Off's have the stamped "RVG".
Front of cover is laminated.
BACK OF COVER HAS "447 west 50th street, new york 19, n.y." ADDRESS, BOTTOM-RIGHT.
Comes with original plain white inner sleeve in VG condition (record will be shipped in separate poly-lined sleeve).
NOTE:
The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.
Cover is in VG to VG+ condition. Front has some minor staining. Back of cover has some heavy staining around the edges and some minor tearing. Cover has a slight curve to it. Punch hole in middle of cover is through to record labels. No splits! All cover sides are completely intact! Look at that spine photo! Strong and sturdy, this is still a prime example of this cover!
I would rate the record’s condition as a STRONG VG+ to VG++. Looks gorgeous with some visual superficial marks that do not affect play. Minor surface noise between tracks, but not too much wear at all. Aforementioned punch hole is through labels at their deep groove areas. Record still sounds amazing on my player!
Makes a great gift for any Teddy Charles or Mal Waldron fan!
