Description

Mega rare white label test pressing of Italian prog group P.F.M.  Never seen another, great curiosity for anyone who is a prog completist!
LP comes in a card cover with handwritten 'P.F.M Photos of Ghosts. 1973. White Label test pressing' handwritten in fountain pen.
The LP has a plain white label each side, with 'P.F.M. A' and 'Manticore' handwritten on the one side, 'P.F.M. B' and 'Manticore' written on the other.  The handwriting is different from the handwriting on the sleeve.
On the run out wax on side A is the following hand scratched message:
"NORMAL" LOVE FROM PETE N' ANDY 
all in capital letters.  On the run out to Side B is scratched the following:
PETE
in capital letters.
'Pete' may be Pete Sinfield.  PFM were signed to Manticore through recommendation from Emerson Lake & Palmer. Sinfield worked on PFM's Photos of Ghosts LP which was their first English language album, and was produced by Sinfield.
I've tried to photograph the wax messages but my camera just won't focus clearly enough and I'm getting a lot of flash. Photos are uploaded anyway but probably not too helpful. (You can just about see the name 'Andy' on one of the photos).
My husband came by this record about 30 years ago.  He has never played it so it could be unused.  Vinyl is clean, unmarked.
Sleeve is yellowed with the passage of years, inner paper sleeve similarly yellowed.
Will be posted in a brand new, custom LP mailing box and I'm offering free P&P.
