Here is a very nice copy of the first Stones album, with the original poster!!!! It plays really well with faint background noise in quiet spots and NO skips or offensive ticks. Vinyl has a good shine and no significant marks other than some hairline dust marks, most noticeably in the dead wax area. The lacquer may have lifted slightly in a couple of tiny spots. Otherwise it is shiny and very presentable from a cosmetic standpoint.

I think it is a very nice playing record! The static is very mild and I don't hear it in most of the record. Nice thick record without warpage. The fidelity is also surprisingly good for a mono! I played it on a vintage system-a lower line Sony direct drive turntable fed into a Sony STR-V5 receiver and vintage Polk Audio Monitor 5A speakers. Cartridge was a vintage ADC LM-3 (very good, but nothing high dollar or real exotic).

The cover is really good. Judging by the covers of other first issue copies of this album that I found on eBay when I wrote this listing, it is definitely the best one out there! I would classify it as VG++. There are NO SPLITS!!! There is slight ring and rub wear on the back side of the cover (picture2). There is almost no noticeable ring wear on front-very, very faint. No other marks or writing on the front or back. The bottom spline has only slight rub wear and IS NOT split (picture 8). The top spline has no significant wear-NO rubs or splits (picture 9). The end spline with the catalogue number and title is excellent, with NO splits and all titles and numbers are very legible (pictures 6 and 7). It is a real beauty in comparison to what else is out there currently! You can compare this album to the typical album that was made 20 years later and had moderate handling care!

Someone wrote the number nine on the inside of the cover. It is faint and very small. You CAN NOT see it on the outside of course, but have to open up the cover to see it, such as when you slip the record in and out.

The rare poster has no holes or tape residue any where, indicating it has never been hung up or used. Picture 3 shows the poster to the right of the cover. The last picture shows the back of the poster. There is some yellowing on the BACK side only. The only significant flaw is a small corner of the poster was folded at one time (probably when it was packed), but it has been unfolded for a long time and that corner is pretty much flat. A tiny part of one corner is still bent. I don't see that fading is an issue with the ink of the poster. Very, very nice presentable condition for a piece of 40 year-old pop art!

The third picture shows the front of the album, the poster and the yellowed record sleeve that came with it and a new sleeve that I will put the record in.

The cover indicates it did have a poster originally enclosed with it. The top left of the cover indicates it is a mono copy and has the designation ffrr for "full frequency range recording". The catalog number is LL3375. The record label is a bright red color. All of this indicates it is a first pressing example by London Records minted for the U.S. market.

What more can I say? Ask if you have questions. It is not letter perfect, but is the way I have described it. People who buy my records are satisfied. I always get positive feedback from my record buyers. I really don't sell many records, but sell more vintage Technics turntables than anything else. I have a relatively small record collection myself of some 500 LPs. I don't consider myself to be audiophile or expert vinyl collector.

Frankly I don't see how you can go wrong with this example! Make an offer if you like. The record just went up for auction on Nov. 14.  You can put in a best offer if you like.

This will be sent to eBay's international shipping center if you live outside the U.S. What they charge overseas buyers I have no control over.  I will insure and track this record in the U.S., but can do nothing about how the international center handles it. Normally I send records via the Post Office's media mail, but since this is a more valuable album, I will send it priority mail.

Thanks for looking at this cult classic album. It is a real nice one and the real deal through and through. This would make an avid vinyl collector happy, I would think. Merry Christmas!

I will not accept a return of this item. Records are too easy to nitpick about, or for a dishonest buyer to swap out the vinyl or the cover or poster for one of lesser quality. There is no way to mark this item in order to identify it as the one I sold you without hurting its collectability.
