Description

A rare copy of Poet and the One Man Band on original UK Verve vinyl - an aural treat from 1969.
First press 1/1 matrices and 1 - G/1 - G mother stampers, denoting this copy is from the very first batch of 300 to have left the factory.
EX barely played vinyl with VG- front laminated single flipback sleeve with light creasing and corner wear.
A great album featuring some great musicians including Albert Lee, Jerry Donahue and Nicky Hopkins. Record Mirror gushed: "Some of the most beautiful sounds ever produced…" while Beat Instrumental stated: "Superbly planned, played and recorded, it gets better every time you hear it, especially on good stereo equipment. No gimmicks - nothing but quality".
Good luck if you are bidding. I carefully package all rare vinyl with the disc removed from the sleeve to eliminate 'knifing' during transit. Please check out my other high quality original vinyl items.
