We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. "Tanx" is perhaps the most seductive of the T-Rex discography. Not since the self-titled album had the band produced such dreamy and breath taking surrealism. "Broken Hearted Blues" is like everyone's teenage lust preserved in a jar. Though many Tyrannosaurus Rex fans felt that the abbreviation to T.Rex was the ending to the Marc Bolan legacy, "Tanx" plays like a fish coming to the surface of the water for a breath of fresh air.
TANX was Marc Bolan's attempt at breaking big in America after having conquered the UK charts. After the phenomenal success of "Electric Warrior" and "The Slider," Marc's record company expected big things. What Marc gave them was "Tanx;" an album slightly different from its predecessors. Unfortunately, the critics and some fans didn't like the direction Marc took and the album was deemed a disappointment. 47 years later it seems a second evaluation, or re-discovery, if you will, finds an in-depth production filled with tracks that grow with leaps and bounds with each splin....
The album opens with the guitar boogie and spacey lyrics of "Tenement Lady," a combination of two songs. Two songs fused together into one great one. Lots of great production work on this one.
"Your mama said, clean out your head, boy..." Next is "Rapids," with lots of guitar slide overdubs. Again, lots of spacey lyrics in a Bolan boogie mind poem.
"I'm just lookin' for a change in my luck.." "Mister Mister" is great light catchy song with a great sing-a-long at the end. Excellent arrangement displayed by Tony Visconti.
"This is a song that I wrote when I was young..." "Broken Hearted Blues" is one of the most beautiful songs Marc Bolan ever wrote. Beautiful lyrics, beautiful arrangement, Marc in perfect voice... poetry set to music. Possibly the best song Marc ever put on an album.
The rest of the album just flows beautifully. From start to finish...wait and see/hear just that!
