On offer here is an ULTRA RARE original AUSTRALIAN issue of THE PLAYBOYS “Black Sheep R.I.P.“ 7” single, released on Sunshine Records. The A-side is a PSYCHEDELIC FREAKOUT re-working of the children’s nursery rhyme under the revised title “Black Sheep R.I.P.“, whilst the original Brian Peacock composed flip “Sad“ is regarded by many collectors as a FREAKBEAT CLASSIC.
Having returned to Australia from the UK, THE PLAYBOYS split from NORMIE ROWE and became PROCESSION, but that’s another story!

Record:
VG(+) visual: some light scuffs and handling wear (scratch at beginning of side 1 *)—quite acceptable; audible: HIGHLY ENJOYABLE and VIBRANT SOUND overall, despite some underlying surface noise (* may cause a minor tick for 20 secs? as stylus passes over on another turntable, however I could not hear a thing on mine!) (VG+ to VG++); labels: hardly any spindle wear & light soiling, side 1: small writing ‘50c’; side 2: small writing ‘RS’.
