Description
Offered are the original releases by Dolton, a subsidiary of Liberty Records of The VENTURES learn how to play series albums. Up for auction are TWO albums, "PLAY ELECTRIC BASS WITH THE VENTURES" and "PLAY GUITAR WITH THE VENTURES, VOLUME 2." I bought both albums back in 1965-1966 as I was in a garage band wanting to learn how to play!
Both albums are in good condition. Here are the specifics for each album:
1:The guitar album cover has minor cover wear along the edges and on the back the name "Paul" was printed in small letters. That is my middle name as I wanted to mirror Paul McCartney back then (who didn't)! The inside shows no discoloration however the inside instruction pages 3-10 had separated from pages 2 and 11. There are no missing pages.
2: The bass album front cover is in very good condition showing less edge wear than the guitar album, however I had drafting tape on the back cover which removed some of the album surface when I took it off (see photo.) As in the other album the name Paul is printed in small letters. The inside pages are still attached although they are a little loose.
3. Both records are in very good condition except once again I had printed Paul on the label.
As a bonus I am including the obituary of BOB BOGLE 1934-2009 that was published in the Los Angeles Times on July 17, 2009. Bob was the co-founder and original lead guitarist of this famed group that still plays today.
