Hello Friends it's Gared, i know it seems like a stretch selling my own art but it's an experiment, people do it all the time in coffee shops, so what the hell. here goes nothing.
PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS / FOR SALE THE DRAWING THAT STARTED IT ALL!
HISTORY: In the Winter Of 97' I was just 20 and waiting for Matt to get back from Recording school in AZ to start our next band. So i was drawing a lot. my first passion was comics but that was eschewed due to mixed results and rock getting in the way, anyhow i digress. What you have here is the Seed of what was to become the launch pad for Planes, immediately after it was drawn we were off to the races. It set the tone for what was to be our first e.p. .
ART?: Is Pen & Colored pencil on Heavy Sketch Paper, it is actually rather textured looking up close. It Measures right around 9" by 8".
WHAT IT SAYS: Caption #1 If i tell myself it Can't get any worse then at least better will be there to look foward to.... Caption #2 It was never for you it was my song to sing alone, you can only take guesses at what i mean..... Caption #3 I wish i could fly, fly the fuck away, But right now flying can only sound good to me.

WHY YOU WANT IT: #1. While Planes fans / Friends are few, they happen to be a fierce lot, who really care about our collected histories. Are you one of these? Do you know someone who is? Bam! the perfect gift. ONE OF A KIND! plus i'll throw in some extra goodies for good measure.
#2. I plan on honing my skills and doing children's books in the future, maybe i'll get huge and you'll make a bundle off one of my first illustrations. Ha.
#3 it's way cheaper than the last bender or break up you had.
WHY SO MUCH? Because as much as i could use some money i'm kind of attached, it's been on my wall for years.
