ORIGINAL US CAPITOL (ST-12276) FIRST PRESSING (June 1983) OF PINK FLOYD'S "Works" CONTAINING THE RARE TRACK “EMBRYO” AND VARIOUS ALTERNATE MIXES AND REMIXES. THIS LP WAS NEVER RELEASED IN THE UK

AND THIS COPY IS IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION HAVING SEEN LITTLE, IF ANY PLAY - THE LABELS ARE CLEAN AND BRIGHT WITH BARELY A SPINDLE TRACE TO BE SEEN, THE VINYL SURFACE ARE CLEAN AND UNMARKED AND THE AUDIO IS STUNNING THROUGHOUT - A REALLY BEAUTIFUL COPY AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Works is a Pink Floyd compilation album issued internationally in 1983 to coincide with the release of The Final Cut. It was however, never released in the UK and became a much sought after import
The main interest for collectors is the track Embryo, an outtake from Ummagumma, which originally only appeared in January 1970 on a scarce Harvest compilation: Picnic - A Breath of Fresh Air
Also unique to Works, the tracks Brain Damage and Eclipse are presented as alternate versions, possibly stereo mixes from the master tapes of the quadraphonic edition of The Dark Side of the Moon and a remix of One Of These Days which incorporates the heartbeats from The Dark Side Of The Moon into the beginning of the track

"Brain Damage" and "Eclipse" both have alternate mixes. Changes to these include different cut times between the two songs as well as the audience heard at the end of "Fearless"/ beginning of "Brain Damage." Another change is that some of the spoken parts from the tracks are at different volumes - the primary reason for this is that the versions featured here are stereo fold-downs of the quadraphonic mix. Some other tracks are present in alternate "Cross-fade" mixes, most notable on the segues between "See Emily Play"/"Several Species of Small Furry Animals" and "Fearless/Brain Damage"

LABELS: MINT(-) CLEAN and BRIGHT with NO wear, NO writing and barely any spindle traces
VINYL Visual: MINT. The vinyl surfaces retain their original DEEP, LIKE-NEW, GLOSSY SHEEN and are UNMARKED (there are some very light pressing blemishes so common on US vinyl but these have NO audio consequence)
VINYL Audio: SUPERB - CRYSTAL CLEAR, RICH AND WARM SOUND. On playback at a LOUD volume there are NO scratches, NO jumps/sticks, NO surface noise and the record plays absolutely beautifully throughout with TREMENDOUS SOUND QUALITY. Graded MINT for audio this is a superb copy and one which would be pretty hard to beat
SLEEVE: The cover is CLEAN, BRIGHT and UNMARKED with just a little 'bumping' to the corners and a small crease to the top spine edge. Otherwise, it in GREAT shape - EXCELLENT
