Description

This is a very rare late 70s mispress of Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here, on Columbia PC-33453, with one side accidentally pressed with Bob Dylan’s Street Legal. There are two different versions of this mispressing, one with side one being the proper side one of Wish You Were Here, and side two of Dylan’s Street Legal on the other side, and the slightly rarer variation with side one being side one of the Dylan album, and side two being the correct Pink Floyd side two. This is the second version. Side one of the disc is actually side one of Dylan’s Street Legal, even though it is labeled side one of the Pink Floyd album. Side two is correct. These pressing mistakes are highly rare, most having been discovered before many copies were made, and then destroyed. But a few ended up being sent off to be sold in the stores, and a few of those were for whatever reason never returned, and so survived. Very few of these mistakes are still circulating. Discogs has the other version listed, with no copies ever having been posted. This version isn’t even on Discogs at all.

Anyhow it is a very rare oddity. Pre-bar code cover and original “handshake” labels. The disc is in excellent shape and plays beautifully on both sides. Only a couple of very light superficial scuffs, barely. The cover has a touch of wear, with a couple of soft creases (see photo) and faint ringwear, as well as some scuffing on the back. Not bad at all. The original inner is also included. A rare and strange copy! You’ll likely never see another.
