OVERSTOCK ALERT!!!!

This week I have a large amount of overstock that needs to go!  And there is some truly SUPERB items here!  Of course - I will be doing my usual amount of auctions (all ending on Sunday) - but because I have so many extra items, I have decided to list the excess overstock!  And these 'buy it now' listings come from 3 very different sources:-

1) An Ex Producer who worked for the BBC in the 1970s:-  Items from this collection are generally MINT, usually Factory Samples (or promotional items), only played ONCE or twice - and some are even completely unplayed or sealed!   Items from this collection are of the BEST condition I have ever seen!

2) Music I dont usually sell in my auctions:-  Any type of music I dont usually sell in my auctions, I have decided to list as a buy it now.

3) Items that are EXTREMELY rare indeed and book VERY highly - but have a few issues.  However ALL play through fine, and I have NOT listed anything that jumps or skips.

So in short - there are some truly SPECTACULAR items on my buy it now listings, and definitely NO dross AT ALL!!!!

DETAILS ABOUT GRADING & BACKGROUND ON MY BUY IT NOW AUCTIONS (Please read!)

Obviously it is in both my interest and the buyers interest to grade CORRECTLY!  So I grade EVERYTHING standing on a chair directly under a 150 watt bulb which reveals everything!  Therefore if I grade a record 'VG' - it does NOT mean it is 'covered in scuffing and marks' - it will still be a VERY clean looking record indeed, and often barely played!  For example - if I hold a record under light and see a lovely black sheen, but a few of the VERY lightest paper scuffs, and 2 or 3 VERY light lines - I will still ONLY grade the record VG+.  So whilst you shouldnt expect MINT from my 'VG' records - you should still expect a VERY clean & bright looking record indeed!  And even my records graded only 'Good' or Good+' will be VERY presentable playable examples indeed!  And if I list a record in the condition most LPs seem to be in today (namely covered in general light scuffing - but still plays through absolutely fine with a few crackles & pops) - then I would ONLY grade this record Fair or even Poor+.  So I am very VERY strict on grading indeed - and almost NEVER use an Excellent grading unless the record looks virtually 'factory fresh' under light!  PLEASE ALSO NOTE - obviously as there are a lot of buy it nows being listed, I have had no time to play every groove on every record (that would be impossible!), so I have given a visual grading + play checked sound quality in snippets.  However it is very VERY easy to spot any sounding marks under light, and these were checked to make sure they did not jump or stick.  That said - quite a few of the Buy It Nows I am listing look like they just came from the Factory and are in AMAZING condition!  In short - if you buy one of my records, and expect the grade given you should be very pleasantly surprised indeed!  And in the unlikely event of a problem, any purchase is also covered by a refund including postage.

I HAVE ALSO TRIED TO PRICE THESE RECORDS TO SELL - AND HAVE NOT SET THE 'BUY IT NOW' PRICE SLIGHTLY 'HIGH' HOPING THAT BEST OFFERS (USING THE EBAY 'BEST OFFER' FUNCTION) COME IN AT 'ABOUT THE RIGHT PRICE'....  I WANT TO GET THESE RECORDS SHIFTED QUICKLY!  BE AWARE THOUGH - THAT SOME OF THESE ITEMS MAY WELL FLY OUT IMMEDIATELY AT THE 'BUY IT NOW' PRICE ALONE (AS THEY ARE PRICED UP VERY CHEAPLY INDEED - AND WELL BELOW PREVIOUS AUCTION PRICES!), SO YOU MAY WELL HAVE TO BE QUICK!  IN SHORT - I HAVE TRIED TO GRADE VERY STRICTLY INDEED - AND PRICE THESE RECORDS TO GO!

So please buy with absolute confidence and take a look at this GREAT item on offer below:-

RARITY:-  One of Pink Floyds most sought after LPs EVER!  This one is made even rarer still - it comes with its ULTRA RARE 'Postcard' (nearly always missing!).  HOWEVER, WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS COMPLETELY UNIQUE!!  And I know it is unique with NO OTHERS ever being made like this - as it was used as a Test Pressing (to test the new matrixes) and was saved from destruction by one of the workers at EMI at the time!  It was then given to the Ex Producer who I acquired a whole batch of records from (some will appear as Buy It Nows - some will appear as auctions).  Apparently it was SUPPOSED to have been a FULL 'white label' Test Pressing - but a normal label was printed on one side in error, and so to recognise this, a 'Factory Sample' sticker was placed on that label to show it was strictly for IN HOUSE USE ONLY!  Naturally white label test pressings are VERY rare indeed, and standard copies were very common.  HOWEVER THIS IS THE FIRST TIME EVER - THAT A TEST PRESSING HAS EVER TURNED UP FOR SALE WITH A NORMAL LABEL ON ONE SIDE, AND A WHITE TEST PRESSING LABEL ON THE OTHER!!!!  And as it is completely UNIQUE - it obviously the all time RAREST copy of this LP EVER TO BE OFFER FOR SALE!!!!

COUNTRY:-  UK

MONO/STEREO:-  STEREO (there were NO Monos)

PRESSING:-   MID TO LATE 1970s TEST PRESSING - AND COMPLETELY UNIQUE!  The online 'Pink Floyd Archives' calls this a 100% definite 1st Pressing (listing ALL matrixes between A1/B3 and A6/B14 - as 1st Pressings!).  And the UK Record Collector Price Guide ALSO lists this LP as a 1st Pressing!  However, I will stop short of calling it that (though they do!) - and simply term it an 'early pressing' to be certain.  It does have 'EMI Records' label text (later ones dont!), 'shaped' corners to the inner sleeve (later ones have 'rounded corners'!), 'Serrated' Edges to the Postcard (later ones dont!), a very VERY 'Matt' look to the cover (later ones are shiny instead!), and VERY distinctive 'Pleated Ends' to the Spine (later ones dont!).  INTERESTINGLY it has NO STAMPERS AT ALL (single mother numbers ONLY!), and 'HTM' on both run offs!  However all this is almost IRRELEVANT - as it is COMPLETELY UNIQUE!  At a guess I would say this one dates from the mid to late 1970s (at least 36 years ago now!) - and certainly NO later than that!

ARTIST:-  PINK FLOYD

TITLE:-  WISH YOU WERE HERE

CAT NUMBER:-  SHVL 814

LABEL:-  HARVEST

DATE:- ORIGINALLY RELEASED IN 1975 (THIS ULTRA RARE UNIQUE 'WHITE LABEL' TEST PRESSING PROBABLY DATES FROM 2 OR 3 YEARS AFTER THIS!)

SIGNS OF PLAY:-  BARELY ANY!

LABELS:-  NM!

RECORD GRADING:-   VERY strictly graded VG++ if not better (Graded directly under a 150 watt bulb!)! A very VERY decent example indeed and VERY bright & shiny looking!  It has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 VERY light hairlines, only 2 or 3 VERY light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the light paper scuffs only visible under light!  It plays BRILLIANTLY with NO skips, barely ANY clicks AT ALL, NO jumps, NO sticks, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!  A VERY nice record indeed!

INNER:-  Original 'Picture' inner sleeve is NM!  A FANTASTIC example!

POSTCARD:-  SUPERB Postcard that has clearly NEVER left the cover!  Would grade NM - but for VERY faint printing traces on the reverse, which were clearly 100% definitely made at manufacture!  Even so it must grade EX+ - and is a SUPERB Postcard!

COVER GRADING:-  VG++++ if not better (Graded VERY strictly indeed!) and close to a grade above!  A BRILLIANT conditioned cover - and VERY hard to find like this now!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear (PERFECT side words), NO yellowing, NO grubbyness, NO splits, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), only VERY slight corner wear (nice shape to ALL corners!), NO sticker marks, NO sticker tears, barely ANY feathering AT ALL to the VERY nice and straight looking opening edge, NO annotations, and NO writing!  Cover back is in BRILLIANT condition - with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing and NO writing!  A very VERY nice cover indeed - and hard to find like this now!

DEFECTS OUTSIDE OF THE GRADE GIVEN:-  N/A

Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items (I always try my very best to describe everything exactly!) - PLEASE REMEMBER to contact with me FIRST, if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one!  I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem!  This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy!  Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem.  Thanks again - Graham @ XXXRecords.

PLEASE NOTE - Private feedback bidders must consult me first prior to bidding - due to previous problems regarding non-payment, and non-receipt.   MY POSTAGE UNDERCHARGE GUARANTEE TO ALL BUYERS (I always undercharge on postage!):-  Due to UK Royal Mail's obscene price increases this year - I have had no choice but to increase postage charges a little.  Until this year - I had kept them exactly the same since I joined ebay back in 2002.  However this years price increases have been so obscene, that I have had no choice but to increase my postage charges for the first time ever.  However PLEASE NOTE - my absolute 100% guarantee to you as a buyer - is that I will ALWAYS undercharge postage on everything I send out.  Even after the increases, I am still charging you the buyer LESS than I am being charged myself.  On each package I send out - the price is clearly stated on the front of the package (please check it when you recieve it!).  I also do NOT charge for packaging costs - ONLY for postal costs!  And should you find that I have overcharged you postage in ANY way - I will refund DOUBLE the difference.  THAT IS MY 100% POSTAL GUARANTEE FOR EACH AND EVERY BUYER!  No buyer EVER deserves to be overcharged on postage - and on my listings, I'll make sure they are ALWAYS undercharged.  Any questions - please ask!
