On offer here is a rare A1/B3 first press of Wish You Were Here which includes the postcard. Under a bright light you can see a few very faint hairlines but visually this vinyl is still in wonderful condition. It certainly plays extremely well as my play testing below clarifies.
Side One plays with exceptionally clear audio and whilst there is very light static it is only intermittent. There is perhaps the slightest of distortion here and there but not obtrusive in my opinion. When you consider how quiet a lot of the side is the audio shines through (no pun intended!) and is a wonderful example of this classic LP. If anything I under grade - it plays with excellent clarity and plays with no pops or clicks.
'Have a Cigar' starts Side Two in exemplary style and plays fantastically well, almost as new. 'Wish You Were Here' continues the quality with stunning clarity and only the slightest of static at the beginning. Perhaps the best I have heard on a first press. 'Shine On' parts 8 & 9 do play with some interference and a little distortion for some reason and perhaps could be improved with a professional clean.The cover is in excellent condition. There is just a little minor spotting but overall this is one of the best I have seen. Very clean edges and an excellent thin pinched spine. Very minor pinching on the corners. This 'white cover' is often seen in a grubby state but not this one and has been very well looked after.
The heavy cardboard lyric sleeve is very clean with only a handful of very small marks and as per the first presses it has the cropped corners. Two sides have slight rubbing (approx 3cm) but the record has not worn through I hasten to add. The red veil side is in excellent condition.
The postcard (with serrated edges) is included and is in superb condition

ALL RECORDS ARE PROFESSIONALLY PACKED IN STRONG MAILERS WITH CARDBOARD STIFFENERS. THE RECORDS ARE ALSO REMOVED FROM THEIR SLEEVES TO AVOID CUTTING THROUGH THE COVER AND PUT INTO A SEPARATE SLEEVE, AND THEN PLACED INSIDE A PVC SLEEVE.
