Matrix: SHVL 814 A-1 SHVL 814 B-3

This is a very nice copy of the ninth studio album from Floyd which has become widely regarded as their Magnum Opus David Gilmour has chosen it as his favourite Floyd album It includes "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", the tribute to founder member Syd Barrett whose mental breakdown had forced him to leave the band 7 years earlier It is included in Rolling Stone magazine's list of "500 Greatest Albums of All Time"
This has the A1/B3 matrix numbers of the very first pressing.  Higher numbers will relate to subsequent pressings albeit from the first issue. It comes with the original picture/lyric inner - but sadly not the postcard included with the first issue

Gradings follow the standards recommended in Record Collector Magazine's grading guide. 

 

  • Vinyl: EX - a few light surface marks and scratches mostly only visible under strong light
  • Sleeve:   VG - the  sleeve has some edge and corner wear.  the bottom edge has some residual sellotape marks - the seam was split but I've glued it back together
  • The spine lettering is quite worn and only partly readable
  • The labels are clean and undamaged
  • The picture/lyric inner has some discolouration but is otherwise in very good condition

 

All my records are posted in LP mailers with cardboard stiffeners.
