Description
For sale here are 3 of Pink Floyds earliest albums, spanning 1969 to 1971. Part of a huge (over 150 albums) Floyd collection I have been asked to sell. I do not have time to play-grade them all, so the assessment is visual. I have been collecting vinyl for over 50 years now, so have a good idea of how an album might sound. Any obvious marks will be noted. All 3 are genuine very early UK presses.
PLEASE, NO BIDS FROM RUSSIA, BELARUS OR UKRAINE. ANY BIDS FROM THESE COUNTRIES WILL BE CANCELLED. THANKYOU.
UMMAGUMMA. Very early pressing A1/B2/A1/B3. NO EMI boxes on the labels as per 1st press. Vinyl is in great shape, very well cared for. Nice deep shine and black lustre. No marks aside of feint wispy sleeve removal marks. Cover is about as good as you find with these at this age. Laminated, light shelf-wear to bottom edges, spine perfectly legible. Inners are great, just have light age discolouration. For the age of this album I have to grade the vinyl visually as excellent, inners excellent and cover very good. This is the UK first pressing, second variant.
A NICE PAIR. Nice early UK second pressing with blue sticker censoring the "Dr Phang" section of the cover. Cover is clean and solid with little wear. Grades Ex easily. Inner sleeves are great but one has a small slit forming to bottom edge. Vinyl is lovely. Again, nice gloss and no marks aside of wispy sleeve removal ones. Another all round excellent example. This is the UK second pressing.
THE WALL. Another really nice album. One of the many variants of the UK first press. God, there were so many different matrix combinations, but this copy has the cream coloured cover made from a single piece of card, mis-aligned bricks, band credits etc etc. We all know the criteria by now! Cover is great with just light spine paper tear. Pretty clean example, grades VG+. Inners are fine and the vinyl's are beautiful and grade an easy excellent. This is the UK first pressing.
All of the vinyl records have been visually appraised, and graded accordingly. I can see no reason that these will not play to at the very least Ex standard, and probably better than that.
If for any reason the winning bidder is not entirely happy, I offer a full no quibble refund, including postage. Please no attempts at part refunds. I have been down that road far too many times. I WILL NOT part refund. It is all or nothing.
All vinyl is posted out in a new anti-static sleeve and heavy duty polythene cover for the outer sleeves. All in the price. Postage is 1st class signed for with the Royal Mail and I never charge more than it actually costs me. I post very quickly with extremely robust packaging. Please check out my feedback for highly delighted buyers and return buyers. Overseas postage is by Ebays Global Shipping Programme unless we come to an alternative method that suits.
I am listing some of a quite large and comprehensive Pink Floyd collection over the coming days and weeks, so please check out my other items for sale, or save me as a seller. If you have any specific Floyd albums you are seeking, just let me know. I have several A2/B2 solid blue triangles, some A3/B2 copies, some other A3/B3 copies plus various other combinations of "Dark side of the moon" and UK 1st pressings of every title they have released, as well as some live recordings too, so give me a try!!
Any questions, or if you require more photos, just give me a shout. The only reason I am not play-grading everything is purely down to time. I have over 150 Pink Floyd albums from this collection and simply do not have time to play-grade. However I have been collecting vinyl since the late 60's, so know a thing or two about how a vinyl looks compared to how it sounds..... and with a no quibble refund promised, there is nothing to lose. No risks involved at all. If you decide to bid, good luck and happy bidding.
