RARE original STEREO second press released, made and distributed in Argentina in 1979 by Discos CBS SAICF (CBS Records), licensed from CBS Columbia Records, catalog number 120.050/51, with machine etched matrix numbers AL 36184 in Side 1, BL 36184 in Side 2, AL 36185 in Side 3 and BL 36185 in Side 4, with traditional custom The Wall purple-white/black Columbia Records labels, with small Columbia box logo at 3 o’clock. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Perú!!!

“THE WALL” was originally released in 1979 and it was released in Argentina the same year as part of the “SERIE DE LUJO” (Deluxe Serie) of Columbia Records, with a very thin gatefold non-laminated flipback cover made of two single pieces of cardboard with inside cover pasted on the flips of outside cover. Front, back and inside covers keep strictly the original artwork of the bricks, with name of the band and album title, “PINK FLOYD THE WALL” printed on front cover with big black lettering, with Columbia Records logo and catalog number at top left corner in front cover and the text informing it’s a release from Argentina at bottom of back cover, with CBS Records logo and catalog number at top right corner. In labels the album title is written in English only and tracklist is written in Spanish only, except for “Hey You”, written in English only, with full credits for songwriters. In Argentina the bricks lines are grey/pink and they are not aligned at top in outside cover and at bottom in inside cover. And in Argentina the record comes with paper inner sleeves with the lyrics of each song and as you can see the inner sleeves have the bricks vertically oriented!!! It’s very interesting to notice that in inside cover the design for the full credits keep the same original style, but written in Spanish only, in the same bricks, including the exclusive “Words And Music Roger Waters”, but in this Argentinian press it’s an additional credit for “Toni Tennille”, but it’s very known she sang backup vocals for “The Wall” but that material was never used in the album!!! This is the only press I’ve seen with credits for Toni Tennille!!! AMAZING FIND!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!! And what a nice condition!!! WOW!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in VG- or VG condition, clean and clear, no writings, some creases and light bends, notorious wear in all edges and ring marks, some faint blemishes and age browning, with tape that some past owner put in 3 edges, at the bottom edges to repair sean splits and at top edge of first side, because the flips was totally unglued, but still complete and solid, a real miracle considering it’s very fragile and this cover had to keep 2 records. The inner sleeves are in VG- condition, with severe creases, rips and tape in all sides, but still complete and solid. The records are in great EX- or EX condition all sides, glossy and clean, with scuffs and soft hairlines, with light scratches, a little more evident in Side 3, which don’t affect play at all. Labels are in absolute NM- or NM condition all sides, absolutely clear and clean, with only some spindle hole wear. The sound is the best part, it’s in strong EX+ or NM- condition all sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with some very light crackles, more evident in the silent parts, and some soft clicks and pops here and there, which don’t really cause major distraction from the great audio this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, a great record, a nice addition to a good collection of Pink Floyd, sure not for Minty minds or audiophiles, but this record is a REAL RARITY and A MUST TO HAVE, no matter the condition, “The Wall” by Pink Floyd with UNIQUE GATEFOLD NON-LAMINATED COVER, with UNIQUE VERTICALLY ORIENTED BRICK in inner sleeves and with UNIQUE CREDITS FOR TONI TENNILLE!!! Yes Sirs, a MEGARARE PRESS, another GREAT FIND of a classic rock album from South America!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

We have an unique value worldwide: 

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first.
