This is another Floyd vinyl I am selling that is visually in wonderful condition.  It has been hardly played, there is just one faint spindle trace on each label and it looks like new, not 35 years old!   There are no obvious hairlines and certainly no scratches or marks and has been so well maintained down the years.  The glossy black sheen is stunning and aside from one minor 'bubble' as detailed below this is a vinyl of the highest quality.

Play grading

'The Post War Dream' has stunning clarity from the word go.  With only a small number of non-intrusive dust ticks it is rare to hear this quiet opening track play so clearly and especially on a first pressing.  The audio is of a spectacular standard and this Mint- quality continues with 'Your Possible Pasts' and the quiet sections here in particular are immaculate.  The only imperfection is a pressing fault right at the end in the form of a tiny 'bubble' which results in 5 very dull sounds.  The remaining tracks play with outstanding quality although on 'The Gunners Dream' I did hear a few light clicks at the end of the first verse.  This is the only obvious interference across the whole side really which for a 35 year old first pressing is a pretty good result.  Just 10 seconds of interference.  The sound quality overall is of a superb standard and the lack of static during the many quiet sections is incredible.

'Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert' plays very clearly apart from two clicks and there is barely any static.  'The Fletcher Memorial Home' is of Near Mint quality as there is next to no 'background', it really is a stunning version and again for such a quiet track 'Southampton Dock' plays with impeccable clarity.  Is this really 35 years old?!  The remaining tracks play to the same exacting standard and 'The Final Cut' is Mint- the audio is 'as new', no exaggeration.  The many quiet passages on this side play with such delicate precision and the louder track 'Not Now John' has no distortion and again the sound quality is immaculate.  'Two Suns In The Sunset' ends the album with perfection and no interference at all.  The clarity and definition truly is of the highest standard and even the fade out plays with optimum quality.

The Gatefold

This gatefold is in stunning condition and is one of the best I have ever seen, it is superb!  The edges and wide spine are incredibly clean and only the top right corner of the back cover has only a mega small amount of wear.  The opening edge is also 'as new'.  The front cover is just so clean it is visually in fantastic shape and the same applies to the back cover.  The inside of the gatefold is immaculate and again looks 'as new', wow!  As can be seen the sticker is still attached to the front and remains in perfect condition.  A pristine example of this fabulous gatefold.

Inner sleeve

The original black poly-lined sleeve has no splits or tears.  There is just some minor creasing and a few white spot marks, nothing major.

The labels

They are both 'as new' with only one mega faint spindle trace on each.  This vinyl has been played only once, maybe twice at most and the labels remain perfectly clean - quite impressive for 35 years old!
