Description

On sale here is a US Columbia pressing of the iconic 1994 album from Pink Floyd entitled "The division bell". Also included in the sale is the official tour programme from the same year. This is packed full of colour photos and stuff on the band and the tour. The vinyl has the cat. number C64200 and is pressed on a real heavyweight chunk of blue vinyl. I have played the album just once, for recording purpose, so it is still in a superb condition, as is the programme too.

So a few details on the album and programme.............................

(All gradings are strictly to "Record Collector" guidelines. Shown in detail below).

The cover is very very clean. Both the outer and inner gatefold are just perfect. The printed inner lyric sheet is undamaged and unmarked. I think most of us are fully aware of the suspect sound quality on the UK pressing. Due to the fact that CD's were taking over the world at the time, little care was taken with the quality of vinyl pressings. New albums were coming out with major pressing faults and were mostly very noisy at best. At least with the coloured vinyl pressings, sound quality has been restored to around where it should be. so, put simply, this sounds better than almost every UK pressing I have heard. Quite simple to grade at EX+.

The inner printed lyric sheet is in a pretty faultless condition and grades EX+.

The vinyl is really stunning. Nothing visually of note bar a couple of whispy sleeve removal marks. Nothing that impacts on the sound quality. Labels are clean and show little or no sign of play at all. Visually grade as EX+.

The audio performance is real classy. Detailed and vibrant. There is minimal background evident in only the very quietest passages. This disc plays about as cleanly as you could find on a copy of this album. I have no hesitation in grading the sound quality as EX+.

The tour programme also has little, if anything to fault. It is supremely clean and almost crease free. This one never got rolled or folded into someones pocket for sure! Grades as excellent.

So a lovely example of this awesome album and programme.
If you have any questions at all, please just let me know.

Please note. My postage charges for overseas buyers is an estimate only, for "signed for" delivery. If it costs less than my estimate I will refund the difference in full (as all my previous buyers will testify to, I'm sure). I have never, and will never try to make a profit on shipping costs. You pay exactly what it costs. No more!

I have a large collection of Pink Floyd albums for sale (including many rare live albums). Just send me your email address if you would like a complete list. Any questions please just ask.
Also check my feedback for previous delighted buyers of my quality vinyl (apart from one con-man who falsly tried to get a part refund for non existant damage, who very kindly left me a negative feedback after I offered a full refund, but not a part refund! He kept the album by the way!!!). Any bidders using this tactic will get a full refund (including postage) or nothing. Use the system, don't abuse it! Any questions? Require more photos? Please just ask.
Please note that the above vinyl has been play tested and graded according to "The Record Collector" guidelines. These guidelines are listed for your information below:-

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler."

As well as the above grades, Near Mint is often used as well; this is really for a record that appears new but is known to have been played because the label has light spindle marks or because it has come from a previous owner and is assumed to have been played by them. For records which appear to fall between the accepted grades, + and - are also often added to the grading.
