Description
This first press of Relics is in wonderful condition. Looking under a bright light the vinyl is in stunning condition, hardly a hairline to be seen. It is without doubt one of the best I have heard for a A1/B2 first press.
Side One plays with extremely clear audio. There is barely any background noise apart from the lightest of static. All tracks play with a rich deep clarity, hard to believe it was released in 1971 and there is total silence between the tracks also. There is one very small mark but it has no affect on the audio at all.
Side Two plays in a similar fashion. One pop at the beginning at the beginning of 'Julia Dream' and '...Eugene'. There are a few light clicks at the beginning of 'Cirrus Minor' but after that the audio is crisp and clear. Overall the audio is excellent with just a intermittent light static.
The original textured cover is one of the best I have seen. The edges are extremely clean and the thin pinched spine is in superb shape still. There are a couple of age related marks on the reverse but apart from that it is in great condition.
The blue Starline labels are in superb condition with barely any spindle wear. It is contained in its original Starline inner advertising current releases and with EMI Records (The Gramophone Company Ltd) and 'Patent No 1,125,55' printed across the bottom.

ALL RECORDS ARE PROFESSIONALLY PACKED IN STRONG MAILERS WITH CARDBOARD STIFFENERS. THE RECORDS ARE ALSO REMOVED FROM THEIR SLEEVES TO AVOID CUTTING THROUGH THE COVER AND PUT INTO A SEPARATE SLEEVE, AND THEN PLACED INSIDE A PVC SLEEVE.
