I specialize in 50's, 60's, and early 70's records of almost every genre - Psych, Prog, Psychedelic Funk, Soul, Rhythm 'n' Blues, Pop, Folk, Garage, Acid, Freakbeat, Rock, Jazz e.t.c and everything in between!!! I try my best to consistently offer some of the VERY BEST records available on ebay!!! Obviously, 90%+ of the LP's I ever get hold of are completely trashed from the hard living ways and the rock 'n' roll, drug and booze fuelled debauchery of all the wild parties of the times, but the golden 10%? I offer them to all of you serious record collectors out there!!!

I'm going to start by listing 20 LP's a week, all timed to end 10 days later. Hopefully after a while, i'll be able to step things up a gear or two in good time. I'll only ever offer THE BEST, MOST AMAZING, MOST IMPORTANT, VERY RAREST UK 1ST PRESS ORIGINAL RELEASE RECORDS I can ever possibly find!!! I won't insult you with later 2nd pressings unless they are of exceptional quality and rarity. I'm sure you love good music as much as me, especially when it's a 1st Press LP, direct from the master tape, as the musicians intended it to be heard (none of this "digitally remastered", weak reissued, remixed rubbish from hired hands with one eye on the mixing desk and the other on the clock! If these session men really knew how genius should sound, surely they would've been geniuses themselves?! There will only ever be one Hendrix, and that's just a tiny example).

I strictly grade all LP's I list, visually and sonically using the UK RRPG standards as customer satisfaction is highly important to me, and i'll always do my very best not to let you down. Title :  The Pink Floyd - Piper At The Gates Of Dawn

Label & year : Original Blue & Black Columbia SX 6157 LP , UK 1967 Mono ULTRA RARE 1st Press!!!

Matrix's : Side A : XAX 3419 - 2, Side B : XAX 3420 - 1

This psych classic sold barely anything as a Mono 1st Press (stereo was the new standard in '67) and had a very, very small run before being reissued on the black and white EMI label. This album is SURELY one of the best of all time. It has to be the best psychedelia i've ever heard. If you've never listened to it before, it's guaranteed to blow your mind!!! It certainly showed me just what sort of things are possible with sound. As you probably know, this original Mono Blue Black Columbia 1st Press is impossibly rare, even more so considering worldwide Pink Floyd collectors have snapped up most of them - so when one hits the market, it really is a moment to behold!!! Easily the greatest thing Pink Floyd ever did with every song bar one written by the genius of Syd Barrett, one of music's most notorious acid casualty's. We should be grateful that he wrote this masterpiece, one of THE greatest albums of all time. This original Mono mix is extra special. Mostly mixed by Syd, you've GOT to hear the "Ever So High" bit in Flaming in it's Mono form, it sounds truly incredible with Roger Waters Bass riff covered in echo!!! There's a number of other differences from the stereo version too such as a growling organ at the start of Interstellar Overdrive, and if you listen carefully to the mono mix of "Pow R. Toc H.", you can hear extra vocals such as a stoned Roger Waters howling with laughter!!! Syd was a true, true genius, and this was his genius album (with a little help from his friends of course!). Absolute timeless classic psychedelic rock LP.

Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and in the next one on The Pretty Things were building SF Sorrow! It's rumored that Syd did this Mono mix by making star shapes on the mixing desk!

About : Ultra rare Original 1967 UK 1st Press!!! This MASSIVELY RARE LP initially sold barely anything (LP's were also really expensive to most people back then!!!) and therefore had a very small run, and is INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND, especially in this condition!!! AN absolute classic LP from this incredible band!!! An astonishing album that really DESERVES to be in EVERY serious 60's / 70's record collection!!! Don't miss out on this MEGA RARE LP!!! Labels : 

Classic UK blue and black Columbia "KT" 1st Press labels!!!. Both sides are GREAT with NO real signs of age, NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever!!! Just has a few light spindle marks from general light use over the years!!! BRILLIANT for a 40 year old record!!! Must grade overall at least as Very Good!!!

Record : Visual - 

Spectacular Thick UK 1st Press Vinyl!!! Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed!!! Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks GOOD with NO excessively nasty marks, NO deep scratches that ruin playback, and NO viscious scuffs either!!! It just has quite a few of the usual light, wispy sleeve traces, some feelable, but still fairly light scratches, and a few mild non-sounding hairlines (only visible in angled light) mostly from where it has sat or been removed from it's cover over the years. Of course, none of these blemishes interfere with play too much, and they CERTAINLY don't effect the smoothness of it's playing!!! Well used, but still GREAT for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall visually at least as Good!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)   Record : Audio -    Thankfully, it plays well with fantastic mono blast and clarity!!! It sounds good and clear with NO repeating skips whatsoever!!! In fact, the only thing that stops this grading MUCH higher is some light occasional very MILD hisses in the left channel, though it's only obvious on Astronomy Domine and pretty hard to notice unless you play it through headphones, also has 2 quick hops on the intro of Interstellar Overdrive (common with this LP for some reason) and slight touches of crackle and rare slight hints of distortion on the same track (i'm making it out to sound MUCH worse than it really does)!!! Other than that, only has a touch of static in places, maybe the odd light click here and there and a bit of mild "bluesman's fag" static crackle in places such as between tracks and on the quieter sections, but it truly doesn't overshadow the music AT ALL!!! (it's more atmospheric rather than the sound of bacon frying!!!) I'd even argue it gives it added soul!!! A hugely enjoyable listen - Despite being well played, the music is TRULY loud and clear!!! OK for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall audiably at least as Good!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)   Sleeve : 

Original UK Mono E.J Day laminated flipback sleeve!!! IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP!!! This one is NOT too bad at all, and looks GREAT, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves!!! NO real bad marks AT ALL, NO ugly stains OR excessive wear, and still strong and solid after all these years!!! Only has a few usual light signs of ageing such as a few creases, a HINT of ringwear, a small biro criss-cross on the top right, a TINY little tear in the middle of the front opening, a split in the middle of the top seam, a few light signs of ageing and dulling to the unlaminated back (NOTHING drastic), a VERY small split in the centre of the spine, a touch of denting/rounding to the four corners which basically ALL vintage LP's have, and POSSIBLY (just to be sure!!!) one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all!!! And that's truly about it!!! I tend to bring it down by listing EVERY negative I can find, but this is definitely a GREAT sleeve, and a TRUE rarity to find one as incredible as this - nearly all have been virtually destroyed, tired, flimsy and beat up, or are just about being held together, but not this one!!! It remains strong, solid, flat and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid and 100% readable!!! Must grade overall at least as Good++++!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)

(Now, there was only ever ONE Blue Black Mono press of this LP, but there is some debate whether sleeves with the small "File under Popular" text on the back are 1st or 2nd Press sleeves. This one DOES have that text, but a friend of mine who bought his copy within days of it's 1st release also has the text on the back of his. So, i'm led to believe that there must have been two seperate factories printing off the sleeves at the same time with slightly different designs. Even IF the sleeve was a so called "2nd press" (which I don't think it is), i'm convinced that they were still pressed up before it's very first 1967 release.)

Summary : A GOOD example of this IMPOSSIBLY RARE classic Mono Blue Black 1st Press LP!!! Hard to find in ANY condition, but SERIOUSLY RARE TO FIND ONE AS NICE AS THIS!!! YOU WILL NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN, so don't miss out on this scarce opportunity to own a true piece of 60's/70's music history!!! Bid now!!!

I've realized that most countries have their own unique grading system. I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system (occasionally with a + or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i'm having real trouble deciding!), so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean. As a general rule, a mint record will be 100% perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional light mark and light use from the years, and a very good record will have noticeable visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wear and will play fantastically well with plenty of life remaining in it. I very rarely offer records below the very good region unless they are of an EXCEPTIONAL rarity and playing quality...I hope this helps!
