On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Pink Floyd called "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" and is an ORIGINAL 1967 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Blue/Black Columbia label!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS WAS PINK FLOYD'S FIRST & RAREST LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1967 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP VERY RARE INDEED IS THAT IT IS 1ST PRESSED IN MEGA RARE STEREO!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  BACK IN 1967 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THE UK, ALMOST EVERY 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP WAS MADE IN COMMON MONO - WITH VIRTUALLY NONE IN MEGA RARE STEREO AT ALL!!!!  AND BECAUSE DEMAND FOR STEREOs WAS SO ABSOLUTELY TINY - MOST SHOPS DIDNT EVEN STOCK STEREOS AS STANDARD BACK IN 1967 - AND THEY WERE ONLY AVAILABLE BY 'SPECIAL ORDER' ONLY!!!!  AS A RESULT - FINDING A UK 1ST PRESSING OF THIS INCREDIBLE LP IN MEGA RARE STEREO IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE - AS BARELY ANY WERE EVER MADE!!!!

BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP EVEN RARER STILL - IS THAT IT IS AN ULTRA RARE 'FACTORY SAMPLE' 1ST PRESSING!!!!  'FACTORY SAMPLE' 1ST PRESSINGS WERE ONLY EVER PRESSED IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (NO MORE THAN A FEW HUNDRED COPIES ONLY!), AND WERE ONLY EVER USED FOR 'IN-HOUSE' USE BY EMI / COLUMBIA THEMSELVES (FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES), OR VERY OCCASSIONALLY ONE WAS GIVEN OUT TO 'IMPORTANT VISITORS' TO THE FACTORY - SUCH AS PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS FOR EXAMPLE!!!!  THEY WERE NEARLY ALWAYS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE (AS IN THIS CASE!) - AND ARE NOW VERY VERY HARD TO FIND!!!!  AND OF COURSE, YOU CAN NEVER BEE 100% CERTAIN THAT THEY WERE ON THIS LP FROM NEW (UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FULL LPs HISTORY!).  THOUGH IN THIS CASE, I HAVE EXAMINED THE STICKER VERY CAREFULLY INDEED - AND IT IS 100% GENIUNE (NOT A RE-PRINT!), AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE OF 'RE-STICKING' AND NO GLUE MARKS EITHER!!!!  THE STICKER IS ALSO 100% FLAT TO THE TOUCH TOO - LEADING ME TO STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT IT HAS BEEN ON THIS LP FROM NEW, AND THE STICKER ITSELF IS DEFINITELY 100% GENIUNE IN ALL RESPECTS!!!!  BARELY ANY 'FACTORY SAMPLE' PRESSINGS OF THIS LP WERE EVER MADE - MAKING THIS LP OF THE UTMOST RARITY (ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION!)!!!!

No is SCX 6157 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Blue/Black Columbia label (see picture) and is a much MUCH rarer UK STEREO 1st Pressing!!!! 

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few VERY light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is still VERY bright & shiny looking indeed, and plays WELL!!!!  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and at first glance looks BRILLIANT!!!!  However, under light - the record does have a few lines on either side, 3 or 4 TINY surface marks, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD IS STILL VERY BRIGHT & SHINY LOOKING INDEED!!!!  It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!!  It plays with NO skips, only a few light clicks, NO jumps, NO sticks, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!!  The actual sound quality itself is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  However despite the record still looking VERY bright & shiny looking indeed, and playing through absolutely FINE - the lines on either side cannot be ignored, and so I will only grade this record Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - though it is certainly still a VERY presentable record indeed!!!!  THAT SAID - AS THIS IS QUITE LITERALLY THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE (WITH 1G/1G STAMPERS - THE EARLIEST 300 COPIES ONLY!), THE CONDITION IS ALMOST IRRELEVANT - AS THE CHANCES OF EVER FINDING ANOTHER ONE AGAIN, IS VIRTUALLY ZERO!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Patents Applied For' Black Advertising White inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'E.J.Day' Flipback Laminated STEREO Cover is in GREAT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), NO rips, NO tears, only a few light creases (cover is still VERY flat looking indeed!), NO splits, shiny laminate, only some very VERY minor evidence of 'tipping in' to the corners, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in GREAT condition with NO sticker marks, barely ANY grubbyness AT ALL (virtually NONE!), NO yellowing, only some almost INVISIBLE and MEGA faint minor grubbyness to the flipback edges, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, VERY nice flipbacks, only 2 TINY 'age spots', and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - and is still a very VERY decent cover indeed!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE (ESPECIALLY IN MEGA RARE STEREO & AS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE WITH 1G/1G STAMPERS!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
