On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Pink Floyd called "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" and is an ORIGINAL 1969 UK Stereo 2nd Pressing on the 2nd Press Silver/Black 'One EMI Box' Columbia label!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS WAS PINK FLOYD'S FIRST & RAREST LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1967 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  AND SHOWING EXACTLY HOW EARLY THIS LP REALLY IS - IT STILL HAS 1ST PRESS 1/1 MATRIX ENDINGS & 1ST PRESS 1/1 MOTHER CODINGS ASWELL!!!!

BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL (AS WELL AS BEING A REALLY EARLY PRESSING!) - IS WHAT FELL OUT OF THE COVER AFTER I FOUND THIS LP!!!!  I WILL EXPLAIN:-  I WAS GOING TO LIST THIS LP ANYWAY - AS IT IS MADE ONLY A YEAR & A HALF AFTER THE LPs ORIGINAL RELEASE, AND REALLY EARLY 2ND PRESSINGS WITH A '3-FLIPBACK' COVER (LIKE THIS ONE!) IN VERY NICE CONDITION - AS GETTING EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND NOW!!!!  BUT WHAT I GOT THIS LP HOME - OUT OF THE COVER FELL A CONCERT TICKET!!!!  AND A REALLY EARLY ONE AT THAT!!!!  SO I PHONED UP THE 1 PREVIOUS OWNER WHO SAID AFTER BUYING THIS LP IN 1969 - HE WENT TO A CONCERT A YEAR OR TWO LATER, AND GOT THE TICKET THERE!!!!  HE KEPT THE TICKET - PUT INSIDE THE COVER, AND FORGOT ALL ABOUT IT!!!!  THE CONCERT WAS ONE OF THE MOST LEGENDARY PINK FLOYD CONCERTS EVER - BEING THE FIRST EVER 'CRYSTAL PALACE GARDEN PARTY' ON MAY 15TH 1971!!!!  AND THIS CONCERT WAS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR PINK FLOYD AS:-

1) IT WAS THE FIRST TIME PINK FLOYD PERFORMED THE TRACK 'THE RETURN OF THE SUN OF NOTHING' - OTHERWISE KNOWN AS 'ECHOES' WHICH LATER APPEARED ON THEIR LP 'MEDDLE'.

2) IT WAS ONE OF THE LAST CONCERTS WHERE THEY STILL PLAYED THEIR EARLIEST 'PSYCHEDELIC' TRACKS 'SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS', 'ASTRONOMY DOMINE', 'EMBRYO', 'SET THE CONTROLS', 'CAREFUL WITH THAT AXE EUGENE'. 

3) IT WAS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' CONCERTS TO USE A QUADRAPHONIC SOUND SYSTEM.

4) IT WAS ONE OF THE FIRST PINK FLOYD CONCERTS TO USE A GIANT INFLATABLE!  IN THIS CASE, THEY USED A GIANT INFLATABLE 'OCTOPUS'!  HOWEVER, THERE WAS ONE DRAWBACK - AS PREVIOUSLY EARLIER IN THE CONCERT, PEOPLE HAD DANCED ON TOP OF IT, AS WELL AS DROPPING CIGARETTES ON IT ASWELL - IT FAILED TO INFLATE! 

SO A REALLY AMAZING CONCERT - SUPPORTED BY THE FACES, QUIVER & MOUNTAIN!  NOW WHILST LATER PINK FLOYD TICKETS ARENT EXACTLY RARE, REALLY EARLY ONES FROM THEIR 'LATE-PSYCHEDELIC' PERIOD ARE EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND!!!!  AND THIS TICKET IS IN PERFECT CONDITION ASWELL!!!!  SO A REAL ADDED BONUS TO THIS EXTREMELY EARLY EXAMPLE OF THEIR FIRST LP - AND MAKES THIS LP VERY RARE INDEED!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT CONDITION - AND CLEARLY HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1969 UK STEREO 2ND PRESSING ON THE 2ND PRESS SILVER/BLACK 'ONE EMI BOX' COLUMBIA LABEL, 1ST PRESS 1/1 MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS 1/1 MOTHER CODINGS, 2ND PRESS 'PATENTS APPLIED FOR' ADVERTISING INNER SLEEVE, AND EXTREMELY EARLY 2ND PRESS 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' FLIPBACK LAMINATED STEREO COVER (WITH 'MONO' TEXT MISPRINT IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER!)!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!   This is the ORIGINAL Columbia UK 2nd Pressing from 1969 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is SCX 6157 on the ORIGINAL 2nd Press Silver/Black 'One EMI Box' Columbia label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo Pressing!!!! 

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few VERY light spindle marks!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is also GREAT to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual!!!!  The record plays with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some absolutely ULTRA faint touches of MEGA low level background sound in places (though mostly NONE!)!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  BRILLIANT RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 2nd Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The EXTREMELY EARLY 2nd Press 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Flipback Laminated Stereo Cover (with MONO misprint!) is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), VERY shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, NO ringwear, NO yellowing , barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  BRILLIANT COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
