PINK FLOYD PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN, TRUE 1ST PRESS UK MONO
UK 1st PRESS Original 1967 UK
HERE is a very first UK pressing of probably the most famous of all the sixties psychedelic albums - The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn by Pink Floyd.
This is a lovely mono copy on the first press blue and black Columbia label complete with the elusive very first press Ernest J Day front-laminated flipback sleeve without the 'File Under Pop Groups' text to be found on most pressings.
Both record labels (with KT tax code and 'Sold in UK...' text) are in great condition with no unwanted writing, no stickers and no tears.
The disc is in comfortable only VG condition with many light scratches and hairline marks to be seen.
HAVE PLAYED IT THROUGHOUT AND PLAYS VERY GOOD. BOTH SIDES - FOR A RECORD THATS AROUND 50 YEARS OLD IT
The machine-stamped matrices are correct first press XAX 3419-2 and XAX 3420-1 and the early mother stampers are 1 -O /1 -O.
The front-laminated flipback sleeve is in strong VG+ or EX- (see photo) condition with just a little light creasing here and there

LPs are packaged in a manner to ensure safe traveling using stiffeners and professional envelopes to ensure safe arrival in the same condition as they leave. Records are removed from the sleeve in order to prevent seam splits in transit.
