Pink Floyd- The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
SX 6157 UK early first Pressing 1967
The sleeve is in great condition. There is minor corner wear and a bit of lamination creasing on the front cover. There is the name “Blight” written above Piper on the back cover in very small print. Also, there is no “File under Popular” in the upper right corner indicating this is a very early mono first pressing.
The record is in really great condition. The vinyl has light superficial marks that do not majorly affect play. The record was play tested on a Rega Planar 6 and sounds very good considering it’s a 1967 mono recording. There is light cracking throughout the record, however there are no skips, jumps or loud pops.
The matrix numbers are as follows:
Side 1
XAX 3419-2 1 0
(The 1 is at 9 o’clock and the 0 is at 3 o’clock in the dead wax)
Side 2
XAX 3420-1 1 0
(The 1 is at 9 o’clock and the 0 is at 3 o’clock in the dead wax)
