Pink Floyd : Obscured By Clouds A-2 / B-2 1st Corrected Press 1972
This has to be the most stunning version of this 'soundtrack' album that I have ever listened to.  Put simply there is no interference and the clarity, definition and power of the audio is stunning.  It is clearly a record that has been so well looked after and hardly played down the years.  It is definitely a FINAL UPGRADE version.
The textured cover (with rounded corners) is in superb condition with just one small 'rub' on the bottom edge.  It has retained its shape and structure perfectly and has no bending or creasing.  The original EMI inner sleeve is also in great condition.
This is known as a second pressing or the first 'corrected' pressing.  The A1/B1 press was quickly withdrawn as it played with far too much sibilance.  This version plays soooo much better!

Visual description
The vinyl is in superb condition and still has a lovely glossy sheen with no marks or scratches.  Under a bright light I can only see a small number of very faint sleeve removal hairlines and nothing stands out.  The run out grooves are very clean and the yellow / green Harvest labels are in great shape also with only a handful of very faint 'spots' on the S1 label.  There is only minimal spindle wear.
Play grading
The quiet intro on 'Obscured By Clouds' plays with stunning clarity with only a hint of minor static right at the start.  As Mason comes in the playback is perfect and it proceeds in much the same way.  I heard one very quiet and barely noticeable tick and it could hardly play any better.  Already you can tell the sonic quality is much improved compared to the A1/B1 pressing.  A Mint- start to the album.
'When You're In' if anything plays even better.  The clarity and depth of sound is so impressive and there is no background not even on the long fade out.  Again in comparison I am picking up audio I haven't heard on the A1/B1 version, there is definitely an enhanced clarity here.  Mint
The intro on 'Burning Bridges' has not so much as a single dust tick and Gilmour's opening vocal is equal to that.  Wright's vocal is on the same level and it continues to play with great quality from that point on.  There is just one minor tick (not a click!) near the end so I will grade as Mint accordingly.  Another perfect fade out by the way.
'The Gold It's In the...' has just one super quiet tick on the intro and the opening vocal section then plays to perfection.  From then on it plays with real precision - tremendous power and of course no sibilance.  Gilmour's long solo is so clean and dynamic and this is another Mint- track.
The acoustic intro on 'Wot's... Uh The Deal' plays with perfect clarity and the opening vocal has no background either.  The mid instrumental can be described 'as new' and the next vocal is of the same exact standard.  The closing acoustic section has no intrusion and this is easily a Mint version.
The piano intro on 'Mudmen' plays with exceptional clarity as does the remainder of this section.  As Gilmour comes in the audio is so strong and there is no distortion on the top end.  This is without the cleanest version I have ever heard and one reason for that is that I have sold mainly A1/B1 pressings in the past!  The rest of this instrumental plays with incredible quality and I have no hesitation in grading it as Mint
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The quiet build up intro on 'Childhood's End' plays with stunning clarity, there is barely any static, and as the track 'kicks in' there is no let up in quality.  The opening vocal section is perfect and it continues to play so clearly with zero interference.  There is one extremely quiet tick but that hardly qualifies as interference!  Once again this track provides more evidence of a well preserved vinyl that has not been played very much.  Mint-
'Free Four' plays with genuine quality from the first note to the last.  The depth and warmth of the audio is stunning and clarity cannot be faulted either.  No ticks, clicks, pops or static and Mint is richly deserved.  It's worth noting that Gilmour's solos are so much stronger on this pressing compared to the A1/B1 pressing.   The piano intro on 'Stay' plays beautifully with no intrusion and Wright's opening vocal is just as clean.  The first chorus is faultless and this clarity and definition is kept up until the very end.  I do not want to sound repetitive but again there is just nothing to detract from the audio.  Hard to believe this is a 52 year old vinyl!  A couple of barely audible statics at most so i will say Mint- but even that could be considered a little harsh!
'Absolutely Curtains' has another quiet intro and again it plays with incredible clarity throughout.  In all seriousness I cannot overstate just how stunning the audio is!  The first 'powerful' section has no background and the 'tribal' vocal then plays so clearly with no ticks, clicks etc.  The clarity is such that you hear perfectly every background sound even if it is a cough!  A stunning Mint- version at the very least.
The Cover & Inner Sleeve
The G & L textured cover is in excellent condition with hardly any wear.  The top edge has no marking and there is just one small 'rub' on the bottom edge.  The thin spine is in superb shape and all four rounded corners are so clean with barely any wear.  The opening edge has next to no wear handling wear also.  The front cover is incredibly clean and the back cover is just as impressive.  As stated it has kept its shape and structure so well which is a genuine rarity for this non-laminated cover.  It would be Near Mint but for that small mark on the bottom edge.  Still a superb example and I haven't seen one as good as this in a long time.
The EMI inner sleeve has no side splits, tears or marking and only a little creasing.

Postage & Packaging

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping.  This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage.  The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered.  Any over-payment will always be refunded.

The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD).  An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known.  Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing.  Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.  Many thanks.

All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection.  They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection.  I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.

The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each.  There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up!  Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
