SUPER-RARE - Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab - ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING -- Pink Floyd - Meddle -- MFSL 1-190. This LP was part of a short-run Limited Edition series, just before Mobile Fidelity went out of business for the first time. This is Limited Edition # 0602. Please see ACTUAL PHOTOs. This version is the infamous MFSL Half-Speed production with mastering from Original Masteringworks. Specially plated and pressed on High Definition Super Vinyl by Victor Company of Japan Ltd. Source: The Original Stereo Master Tape. Originally released in 1971, Meddle is a sonic wonder, and one of the true classic albums of the band's entire career. Meddle is one of the last Pink Floyd albums where the songwriting seems to be a full-band effort; not just Roger Waters, but David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason all share writing credits here. Complete track listing: "One of These Days," "A Pillow of Winds," "Fearless" (*Interpolating "You'll Never Walk Alone"), "San Tropez," "Seamus" and the epic, "Echoes," which takes up all of side two. Vinyl is VG++ ...a couple of superficial marks and one small, light surface scratch near the end of side two that does not affect play (inaudible). Sonically, it's powerful, yet warm - very analog, with plenty of detail and deep bass -- this is among Mobile Fidelity's best work! Gatefold cover/jacket is VG+ ...no seam splits, some edge and corner wear, one small corner crease mark. Cover still retains its original sheen. Comes with ORIGINAL static-free rice paper inner sleeve. Does not include the MFSL cardboard insert. NOTE: It is my experience that some of the MFSL titles in this series did not always include the cardboard insert. In the case of this LP, it's no big deal, as all of the artwork is intact, just like it appeared on the original 1971 Harvest gatefold album release. LP package has been stored in a poly outer sleeve in a smoke-free environment. This is a RARE MFSL LP -- you won't see many of these!
