ORIGINAL UK HARVEST (SHVL 804) SECOND PRESSING (with very early 1/2 mother numbers) OF PINK FLOYD'S LEGENDARY AND ICONIC, "The Dark Side Of The Moon" LP, COMPLETE WITH BOTH POSTERS AND BOTH STICKERS AND IN GREAT CONDITION
THIS COPY IS EASILY IDENTIFIABLE AS A PRE 1974 SECOND PRESSING AS THE LABELS CARRY "THE GRAMOPHONE CO LTD..." TOP RIM TEXT (which was changed to "EMI RECORDS" in mid 1974)

SECOND PRESS CRITERIA:
Cover: Gatefold. Very dark blue cover with prism, and the front left edge of the gatefold factory sealed (but there is no fold-over) (Some copies had a round purple title sticker on the cover)
Inserts:Posters: A blue pyramid poster. There is no catalog number on the poster & A six-pane group shot poster in landscape style with "SHVL 804" in the bottom right corner
Inserts:Stickers: Two Pink Floyd self-adhesive stickers, one yellow and one brown. Matte. The backing paper is white with 45 degree angled diagonal stripes of dark brown from the top to bottom, and "FasPrint Permanent," and "Crack Back Patented." on the paper. There are no catalog numbers on either sticker.
Label: Black Harvest label with blue outline prism. At the bottom of the label it says "Made in GT Britain." Text around the top edge of the label starts at 10 o'clock and says: The Gramophone Co., Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. Text around the bottom edge of the label starts at 8 o'clock and says: Unauthorised public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited
Inner Sleeve: Plain white with patent number and "Made in Great Britain" text

MOTHERS/STAMPERS: 1/GPP and 2/AP

LABELS: The custom outline prism Harvest labels are clean, bright and unmarked with barely any spindle traces to be seen
VINYL Visual: Both surfaces retain their original deep, glossy sheen and are practically unmarked (there is a tiny (4mm) mark on Side One at the end of "Time"/ beginning of "Great Gig In The Sky" but this has only minor audio consequence (see detailed play assessment below) otherwise, a beautiful LP
VINYL Audio: Crystal clear, deep, rich and beautifully warm sound. Pink Floyd's soundscapes cover an amazing dynamic range from the loudest crescendos to the almost silent ambient details which makes it difficult to find early pressings which will play without excessive clicks/pops and/or surface noise but this copy plays beautifully, and cleanly throughout. On playback at a loud volume (which is how I always listen to my LPs prior to listing and it's always a real pleasure to return to this one) there are no scratches, no skips/jumps, barely any clicks - none really, apart from on the section mentioned above which has just a few light background ticks which are not loud and are in my opinion very minor and non-intrusive - otherwise, the album plays to an extremely high standard with great clarity, no groove-wear and no distortion. Fantastic copy of this iconic piece of work and very critically graded EXCELLENT for audio (but apart from those little clicks, a much higher audio grading as this is a beautifully clean press)
SLEEVE: The 'stickered' gatefold cover is also in great shape. It's clean and fresh with minimal 'rubbing' to the outer surfaces which display no ring wear and beautiful unmarked inner surfaces. The spine is sharp with no creases (and of course no text) but the top edge of the side which houses the record does have the beginnings of a small central split - its not too major and is not visible from the front of the sleeve but in consequence I cannot grade the cover more than VG+
POSTERS & STICKERS: The 2 posters and 2 stickers are all in unused, unmounted NEAR MINT condition
