matrix nos. 'A-2 / B-2'
This is an extremely historic collectible, especially in this condition and on this ORIGINAL ISSUE lable with the first 'BLUE TRIANGLE' lable!
This record DEFINES the meaning of the word 'classic', and this month celebrates the FIRST live performance of the piece - which I was in attendance for - at Brighton Dome in the UK!!
An astounding show - yet a completely new and groundbreaking performance for something that was NOT complete or anywhere near ready for release.
I walked in The Dome and saw the large rear speaker stacks strapped to the wall behind me in the downstairs 'Circle'. The pre-recorded tapes began while the lights were still up, and slowly dimmed before the band came on. We sat dumbfounded and amazed by an introduction of music no-one had heard before except the band and their mixing crew at rehearsals!
The Floyd supported themselves, by playing 45 minutes before an interval - then returned for a 'regular' set of 'Ummagumma' and 'Meddle' music.
I was down front for the second part, and snagged a decapitated drumstick, before meeting the band afterwards (Dave Gilmour was under his car trying to fix something - typical for MG's of course :>)
Aaanyway, here's THAT album, as released 39 years ago (gasp!).
The 'Blue Triangle' was quickly withdrawn when complaints came in that the silver text song titles could not be read against the light background, and the next issues were on black background and outline-only triangle (with 'Made in ...' on the lower lable - the following issues then omitted this text).
THIS IS THE ONLY FULLY ORIGINAL EARLIEST LABLE ISSUE!
The vinyl grades VG++, playing EX to NM -
Lables are bright and clean VG++, some spindle-marks only
The wonderful (sealed left-side) gatefold-sleeve cover is VG+ to VG++ with some relatively light wear
A solid, truly historic piece!

~ PLUS the TWO UNUSED POSTERS and BOTH UNUSED STICKERS ~
