For sale here is the very much in demand very 1st UK pressing of Dark Side of The Moon. The very 1st issues of this mega selling LP came with the blue triangle on the labels completely filled in blue. Later issues only had a blue outline on the triangle. Also, the 1st issue has an A-2/B-2 matrix and this is the only matrix that fits in with this.
Apart from the above prerequesites of a proper 1st issue - to have it complete and proper one also requires the following:
1) Gatefold sleeve in slightly green/blue lighter tint of black with left side sealed and also a circular Dark Side sticker on it.
2) The original poly lined black inner bag with Patent Nos 1125555/1072844
3) The 2 original posters - one of the group with SHVL 804 number on it.
4) The 2 original stickers with crackback, Fasson backing.
Here with this copy you get EVERYTHING COMPLETE 100% the real deal!
The 2 posters are mint, as are the 2 stickers - still untouched with their original backing.
The black poly lined inner bag is perfect with correct patent numbers.
The gatefold sleeve has the Dark Side sticker on it and has the correct colour and sealed side.
And finally you get the 1st pressing vinyl with the blue triangle.
As I have said, the stickers, posters and inner bag are all perfect.
The sleeve is ok but has a bit of sticker residue on the front sleeve and also some general wear and ring wear on the front and back. The inner gatefold remains perfect except for a little cockerel sticker in a corner. Easily removed but I will leave it for now.
The vinyl looks good and the labels are clean and fine - a little spindle play but a relatively small amount.
There are a number of hairlines, small marks and scuff marks on 'Money' but nothing bad and mostly only visible under strong light. The record plays through fine with some surface noise at the beginning and one or two other bits.
Overall sleeve and vinyl grade around VG/VG (R/C) and all other bits grade as top!
So there you have it - the absolutely complete very 1st pressing of Pink Floyd's epic Dark Side of The Moon!
