Pink Floyd – Dark Side of the MoonPink Floyd evolved from an earlier rock band, formed in 1965, which was at different times called Sigma 6, The Meggadeaths, The Architectural Abdabs, The Screaming Abdabs, and The Abdabs. When the band split up, guitarists Rado ‘Bob’ Klose and Roger Waters, drummer Nick Mason, and wind instrument player Rick Wright formed a new band called Tea Set. After a brief spell with a lead vocalist named Chris Dennis guitarist and vocalist Syd Barrett joined the band and it was Barrett that came up with the name Pink Floyd (after two blues musicians, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council).
This is a contract pressing: Made in France by Pathe Marconi for UK distribution.
Side One: (a) (i) Speak To Me, (ii) Breathe In The Air, (b) On The Run, (c) Time, (d) The Great Gig In The Sky.
Side Two: (e) Money, (f) Us And Them, (g) Any Colour You Like, (h) Brain Damage, (i) Eclipse.
The album is on Harvest Records, SHVL 804. Matrix side one: 05249 A 21 M6 291629 (stamped). Matrix side two: 05249 B 21 M6 291630 (stamped).
Originally released in 1973, this is a later reissue. French pressing for UK distribution. Stereo.

Vinyl side 1: excellent (has the odd very light superficial mark that can only be seen under bright light that does not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2: excellent (has the odd very light superficial mark that can only be seen under bright light that does not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Cover (matt, gatefold): very good (light corner and edge wear, a few scrape/scuff/indent marks here and there).

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
