PINK FLOYD - Animals - 1st Press - A2/B3 - EX- Condition Overall
A nice copy of this iconic album on original 1st press vinyl. Please find to follow grading of this set. I believe in being completely honest and so will give a fair assessment as I see it.
Sleeve condition: Overall, Very Good condition as can be seen from the photos. There are no major dents on any of the corners although they are slightly worn on the edges. The outside and inside of the gatefold cover is clean and has a nice shine with some small indentations which can only be seen under strong light.  There is some slight ring wear on both the front and rear of the cover (worse on the rear). Very slight wear on the inside of the cover on the black sections at the top and rear, but this is minor.
Vinyl insert condition: Again, in Very Good condition overall.  Sleeve has a very slight pressure split at the bottom which is barely noticeable (see photo six).  Small crease at the bottom left hand corner on Side 1 and three white specs on Side 2. Sleeve is clean and shiny.
Vinyl condition: I have played this and an honest overall grading would be Ex- condition. Vinyl is flat and has a lovely deep sheen to it as can be seen from the pictures. Under strong torch light, it has some hairline marks and wispy marks where it has been removed from the sleeve. In quieter sections (the intro to Sheep for example) there is some light crackle. Overall, it provides a fantastic listen with a lovely full, analogue sound.  The record can really be cranked high on the volume knob without ever sounding loud and shouty and is a far more pleasurable listen than the 2016 repress. Luckily I have two of these first press examples, hence why I am selling this one. The vinyl centre labels are in great condition and free from wear and tear.
