Description
The vinyl and sleeve on this original Mono 1968 Columbia pressing is simply stunning... Certainly Excellent +
There is a rich deep sheen on both sides of the record and under natural light there isn't a mark or hairline on either side.
It has been play tested on a Rega Plana 3 and it sounds spectacular. No clicks and quiet through silent passages.
The matrix numbers are XAX 3633-1 and XAX 3634-1. It has the blue silver label and 'Sold in the UK' text.
The labels are also Excellent. Just a couple of very faint spindle marks on each side. Possibly confirming this LP has only been played twice.
On the Side 1 label there are a three very fine silver pinprick marks which derive from the silver text and border print ink.
The Garrod & Lofthouse laminated cover is also Excellent. Just a fine laminate crease on the front bottom right corner of the sleeve.
The original EMI promotional inner sleeve is also Excellent. The spine is sharp with exceptional text.
As I say it is likely this LP has only been played a couple of times and then stored away for over 50 years.
