A MOMENTARY LAPSE OF REASON A3 / B1
Visual grading
Under a bright light I can detect some faint hairlines on this vinyl and a couple of small scratches, one on 'On The Turning Away' and the other on 'Yet Another Movie'. As my grading below confirms the audio is not affected at all on the latter track and only at the beginning of the former. There is some spindle wear but only on Side Two strangely.
Play grading
'Signs of Life' does have some light crackle but only for the first minute or so and then plays very clearly with only the odd hint of static. 'Learning To Fly' has superb audio and plays practically as Mint such is the quality. 'The Dogs of War' has only the faintest of static at the beginning, barely audible really, and then plays with wonderful resonance and depth. 'One Slip' is stunning from the start with no interference at all, a fantastic version. 'On The Turning Away' has some light clicks for the first couple of minutes due to the small scratch but is not particularly intrusive and thereafter plays with no static and with great clarity.
'Yet Another Movie' starts Side Two with some light static and then has stunning audio with hardly any interference. 'Round and Around' again plays with light static as does 'A New Machine Part 1' but still plays very clearly with no pops or jumps. 'Terminal Frost' has stunning audio with no background noise and blasts superbly well through the speakers! The remaining tracks play with very clear audio. 'Sorrow' finishes the LP in great style with immense clarity and depth.
Gatefold cover
This gatefold is definitely one of the best I have seen. The edges and wide spine are in superb order with absolute minimal shelf wear. There is the slightest of rubbing on the bottom opening edge and a couple of faint scratchy type marks on the back cover something that most sellers wouldn't even mention! The front of the cover and the inside are in fantastic shape. In wonderful condition this gatefold is just a shade off Near Mint.
Lyric inner
The lyric inner is in great condition with only very minimal rubbing on the corners.

I would grade the vinyl as Ex (Ex+ and Near Mint in many sections)
