VINYL
Overall the vinyl i would grade as EX ,there is a light mark on side 2 track 1 , A Saucerfull of secrets ,looks like a careless stylus nudge at some time, this does not affect the play ,there is some clicking and popping at the start of the said track ,but only in the first quiet opening section ,this click goes and is inaudible after a few seconds as the louder sections kick in .The rest of the album plays well with the usual bit of surface noise between tracks ,to be expected from a 43 year old vinyl album.I have played it through on a Linn Sondek with Ekos arm and it plays beautifully with no sticking or jumping ,in fact i had forgotten what an excellent album this really is ,a real piece of psychedelic history.
LABELS
Original black label with the blue COLUMBIA logo ,looks excellent no stickers or labels ,and no real visible spindle aligning marks ,David Gilmour is credited as Gilmore both on the label and sleeve.
INNER SLEEVE
Original browny /purple inner cover depicting 16 album covers on either side from the likes of Rolf Harris ,Scaffold ,Beatles etc i would grade as VG with some slight discoluration on the outer edges ,also someone has written in biro on the top corner “sale SX 6258 “,
COVER
At top foldover of back cover it says "File under POPULAR : Pop Groups." At bottom foldover of back cover it says "6807 TPS Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending SX6258 / SCX6258"
Original HIPGNOSIS laminated flipback cover . Overall i would grade as VG for its age ,2 slight creases on the bottom 2 corners where the cover has been bent , some slight ringwear on the front but it has still retained its gloss ,i have had it in a plastic sleeve since i bought the album.
All in All a nice clean copy of the album. Postage to be advised after end of auction ,depending on which method you want to use and of course its final destination if it goes internationally.
Any questions please ask ,I have tried to describe the condition as best i can ,Thanks all for looking and good luck bidding.
